This expedition will leave Kojeara to go as far East as we possibly can. To Magellan's Star
OOD FLEAU ZJ-I D9-0. Minimum jump distance required is 42 ly but Jumponium will be required
Commencing from Tolagaff's Junkyard in Kojeara (Colonia Bubble) on 1st of March this year and ending up at the same place and ending completely on Halloween this year a run out to Magellans Star (OOD FLEAU ZJ-I D9-0) the most easterly point of the Milky Way. A 6 month mission to fossick in the flora, bask in the glow of distant nebula and get drunk in every DSSA Carrier from the Inner Scutum-Centaurus Arm to Tenebrae until we can't go any further and Stagger back a different way.
Most waypoints are 6,000-7,000 ly apart and basing the distance on a 65 ly jump range ship doing 100 jumps in a week (this should allow extra time for exobiology, diversions to interesting things found by interesting people and RL intruding)
Waypoint 2 by March 8th is "Gravity Betrothed", Tourist beacon at a ringed neutron star orbiting a pair of black holes at DRUMBOA AA-A H73
Minor waypoints en-route are Wulff Nebula at EOL PROU XK-O E6-1001 and The Peng Nebula at DRYOOE PROU KG-X C1-135
Waypoint 3 by March 15th is "Triple Ripple" . It sounds rude but it's actually three neutron stars in the WEPAE EG-Y G1024 system.
Minor waypoints en-route are the Red Wasp Nebula at WEPUA FG-Y G90 (lots of supergiants around here for your codex ticks) and The Boxing Ring (beware of the rings) at WEPAE EG-Y G1378
Waypoint 4 by March 21st is "Evelyn's Distant Sanctuary" at Myriesly MS-K c8-3756. A system of two K class stars but worth big bugs for explorers due to the 3 Earth Like Worlds, 2 Water Worlds, 6 terraformable high metal content worlds and a terraformable rocky world.
Minor Waypoints to here include the Dark Light Rings at Wepae AA-A h220 and this is the closest to SAG A and Explorers Anchorage that is planned but detours to either or both are recommended. Distance from here to SAG A is 1400 ly so 25 jumps in the average explorer ship
Waypoint 5 (March 28th) will be at the DSSA Carrier (IGAU) Sublime located at Gleeque HW-N e6-149 out of the Galactic Centre and into the Empyrean Straits
minor waypoint to the carrier is the UMBRA CENTAURUS NEBULA at Scheau Prao XF-E d12-1389 and, if a carrier is present or available a trip to NADIR at SLUENOE CL-Y G4 , 3000 ly below the galactic plane
Waypoint 6 by Tuesday 5th of April will see us at the AETHER NEBULA (EORM PHYLOI OY-Z D37) 2000 ly above the galactic plane and heading east towards...
Waypoint 7 (12th of April) is the DRAGON'S SOUL NEBULA at Cloomeia IM-W e1-142 a very young nebula around a black hole (should see some cracking light bending pictures from here)
There is an optional stop to here via the BLACK MEDUSA NEBULA at PHEIA AUSCS LZ-J C24-82 on the edge of the Empyrean Straits and sinuous tubers to be prodded and probed in the surrounding systems here. and a further excursion to the "Child in Time" system (a goodly sized black hole with an accompanying F class star and a few dozen bodies that may be ripe for flora) which very near at Cloomeia FG-Y e95.
Waypoint 8 (19th April) is another DSSA Carrier, the BOUGANVILLE at EOCK BLUAE QL-X C1-1. With the promise of carrier interiors in update 11 (itself due February) I'm hoping we will be able to sell all the exobiology on board here and use the proceeds in the bar. For those still able to fly the HAWKING NEBULA is next door at EOCK BLUAE JQ-Y D1
Waypoint 9 is optional as it can be very dangerous. It is the "Eye of Horror" (sounds ok to me) at Flimbuae CA-A e2 an ordinary sounding K class star in very close proximity to a black hole set in a very pretty blue planetary nebula. Commanders going here need to be wary of their orientation as they exit their jump in case they are caught between the star and black hole itself.
Here the distances start getting longer and the next waypoint is more than 9000 ly past the Eye of Horror, hence the longer times allowed to cross the galactic gaps and travel the required distances
Waypoint 10 (May 10th) is "Thana's Wasteland" at Mycapp TX-U d2-4, a Neutron Star with a landable rocky body a mere 55 ly from the star
Waypoint 11 (May 31st) is nearly 12,000 ly across from the Wasteland and is the DSSA Carrier DSSA DEUS VALT at Ooc Fleau GG-F d11-0. All services are offered here for the weary traveller (and who knows? We may be able to actually buy a drink at the bar by then!)
Finally, WAYPOINT 12 MAGELLAN'S STAR. (By June 21st, midsummer here) the most easterly point of the galaxy at OOD FLEAU ZJ-I D9-0. You WILL need Premium Jumponium to get here in a ship with a minimum jump range of 42 ly needed (plus jumponium). I do have a route to here available but I'm sure people will want to make it under their own power, skill and derring-do so it is only available upon request.
Minor points of interest on the sojourn here are "PAMPLEMOUSSE" a yellow-orange giant of a star at Dryeou Flaae OM-W d1-4 and "VOID'S BRINK" an extremely remote Earth Like World at Chanoa QK-C d14-0
The return journey from Magellan's Star to Kojeara consists of 8 waypoints and a planned journey time of 16 weeks (although the expedition will run until October 31st allowing 6 months for the most serious of botanists and most meandering of pilots to complete the loop)
From Magellans to Waypoint 13 (July 12th) will bring us to "King Midas" at Prea Aick MO-Z d13-2. This is an ammonia world with truly gigantic rings around it although the planet's name arises from it's colouration, it looks like it's made of gold.
A minor waypoint well worth a visit is the "Jewels of Tenebrae" at Byai Airgh WD-K d8-0 where notable stellar phenomena can be found and more at the neighbouring system at Byai Airgh WD-K d8-4.
Waypoint 14 brings us to another DSSA Carrier to sell all your lovely carto data and to consume lots of alcohol to stop our livers getting lazy. The DSSA (TMCV) SPARTACUS and is located at Flyoo Phio KM-F b55-0. I will be sober enough to leave there by August 2nd.
Waypoint 15 is relatively nearby (a mere 6500 ish ly from SPARTACUS) and is the PUELIAE NEBULA at Pueliae IT-H d10-1. stars are sparse here in the Hawking Gap so this can be a bit tricky to get to. Due to the shorter distance though the planned move day to Waypoint 15 is August 9th.
Waypoint 16 is the DSSA KINGS PASS at Nuekea RP-M d8-161 . Tourists can take in the strange system of V381 Normae nearby. time to get here and explore is three weeks again due to the distance and I will be off by August 30th
Waypoint 17 is the last of the long distances and is the OHIO NEBULA at Gru Phio GF-J b12-30 to be reached by September 20th. There is another nebula, the Devils Hair at Puelaa OD-V b8-0 which can be detoured to if desired on the way to OHIO .
Waypoint 18 (September 27th) is the J G ZARCO NEBULA at Oephaich QY-R e4-4146. Optional waypoints and stops to here are at the DSSA VOID CRUSADERS at Greae Phio VK-O e6-4343 and THE ANVIL NEBULA at Eeshorks ZK-B b2-9
Waypoint 19 is the NEBULOSA PORTUGUESA at Eor Free GR-W e1-1826 (October 4th) a very pretty green and red nebula with optional waypoints at PHIAANOR (Dryao Aoscs FW-W e1-5865 a blue planetary nebula with a neutron star and a ringed water world) and THE GLOAMING another small nebula around a neutron star at Eoch Pri FB-W e2-5646
Waypoint 19 iss the triumphant return to KOJEARA with points of interest being the AZURITE NEBULA at Eor Free IM-W e1-3196, the KYTHEROS NEBULA at Eoch Pruae KN-S e4-3497 and the PHARONA Nebula at Eoch Pruae HC-U e3-4418. I anticipate being here by October 11th BUT the expedition officially closes on HALLOWEEN.
and yes, against the better judgement of my financial advisor, the drinks will be on me.
