Galactic Mapping > Routes > Erikson's Star (most westerly point) as economically as I could find
This is my route into Erikson’s Star, the Milky Way’s western-most reachable point. The Void is very appropriately named. The western edge of the galaxy is a sparse region which can be difficult and confusing to navigate – the gal map route plotter often struggles even when there are viable routes.
This route is designed to get you from a relatively easy to reach star inside the void, all the way out to the edge. FSD injections will be required, how many depends upon your range. When I plotted this my unladen range was 81.26 and I had to do three basic injections.
The good news is that all the stars can be scooped, including the destination.
Good luck, and don't forget to pack twice as many FSD injections as you think you'll need! Just in case you forget, the penultimate system (Sphiesi DR-N d6-0) contains all the mats you need for any grade FSD boost.
Further info:
I tried to do the shortest hops possible. For the first half of the journey you may be able to plot 10 or so jumps ahead, after that it gets a little trickier. Jumps greater than 90LY: 3. Jumps greater than 80LY: 6. Jumps greater than 70LY: 19. Jumps greater than 60LY: 28. Jumps greater than 50LY: 31.
