Now almost entirely ostracised from Imperial society, the Illuminates have used their remaining resources to establish a foothold in Colonia, where they hope to resume their religious and spiritual practices away from the prying eyes of the Empire. The Illuminates of Valac are controlled by a council of 'Magi', made up of the heads of each of its noble houses. In times of crisis or upheaval, a 'Hierophant' with total control over the faction may be voted into power temporarily.
