The Wredguia Gateway is a system with an S-class star, a former M star that starts to fuse helium into carbon and become a red giant. With a distance of just 390 light years from Sol it is an excellent candidate for extensive study of late stages of stellar nucleosynthesis. What makes the system even more interesting is the presence of an Earth-like world with an intact ecosystem at the fringes of the star system. Exactly how the conditions for the evolution of a world like this could be met are unclear at the moment and again could be an opportunity of intense studies.

Even more attractive is the fact that all necessary elements for Jumponium are present on the various planets, making the Gateway a Level 3 "green" Depot.

The system was referred to the Explorers Association, in particular to the FGE, as a candidate for a community driven colonization project in mid November 3302. It's location 'above' the Pleiades and towards the California Nebula makes the Gateway an ideal spot for landfall and further exploration of the region.
