Nebulae cruising

Eodgosly IH-L b11-0 Dec 17, 2017, 7:59:39 AM

Distance to Sol: 14,830.26 ly Distance to Colonia: 9,270.24 ly

At last, less than 10k ly to go! I never thought i'd see this day!

Seems to be lots of Nebulae on the run in to Colonia, so diverting a bit from the planned route to take sites in.

Thargoids...

Slightly perturbed regarding the recent Thargoid assaults on some space stations; galnet transmissions are somewhat delayed 15,000ly out from Sol.

Hopefully 1) We're safe out there 2) All of my ships are ok; hopefully they'll not invade Imperial space 3) Colonia will be safe (for now..)

378 jumps to go

Flyue Dryai OC-H a92-1

Distance to Sol: 11,281.71 ly Distance to Colonia: 19,987.90 ly

'Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas' (in Colonia.)

Space madness is setting in

Dec 1st. Hypua Hypooe sector

Distance to Sol: 14,171.64 ly Distance to Colonia: 27,891.51 ly

The space madness and loneliness of the galaxy is starting to set in.

My plan to travel to the far western arm of the galaxy isn't going as fast as I would like; Dec 1st was the date I had in mind to start inbound to Colonia, in order to get there by Dec 24th, wherever I was within the Galaxy.

Using 50Ly as an average jump range, I have an estimated 557 jumps until Colonia (not taking into account diversions, sparce areas of space to navigate around and other unforeseen issues.

If I just honk and scope, this could only take 9 hours. With the enforced breaks, hopefully Colonia is reachable for Dec 24th.

Onwards.

The Zuara

Arrived here with no expectations as to what I was going to find. The ship, despite showing signs of power, was just sitting there.

Maybe my ship is slowly failing, but I wasn't able to scan the datapoints as previous commanders did. Still, maybe this is good thing; it would reveal the horrors of the past.

Distance to Sol: 12,082.88 ly Distance to Colonia: 27,249.69 ly

Now onwards to Colonia via the outer west arm. I am hoping there are no other 'walls' of low star density to navigate around. I'm still hoping to arrive for Christmas, so must press on.

1,582Ly & 41 jumps to the Zurara

I can now plot a direct route to the Zuara after backtracking to Phoi Aescs KL-P d5-3. On wards..

Hit the Posiedal Wall enroute to Zurara

Sparse stars to which my 55Ly Anaconda cannot plot a route through. Backtracking to the Heisenberg Bridge and hopefully onwards after that. With the majority of systems tagged, I find some degree of comfort that many other commanders have been this way and suffered the same routing problems currently I have.

Into the dark yonder we go - next stop Colonia

After spending some time exploring the NGC 281 & Bubble nebulae, and a short visit back to Heart Sector IR-V b2-0 to sell exploration data to Farsight Expedition Base, its time to head off into the outer arm (western section) of the galaxy.

Next stop, hopefully, Colonia around Christmas time. I just hope the ship makes it through in one piece.

Salomé's World

Not much here to be honest.

Getting it done, and onto the Formidine Rift

168 jumps and 8715Ly later, i've arrived at Soul Sector EL-Y d7. My 55Ly engineered Anaconda is really helping. Great views of the Heart and Soul Nebulae on the approach to this sector.

Docked at Base Camp, an asteroid base, to get out and stretch those legs. Handed in 25M credits in exploration data too; over 100+ first discoveries.

A quick ship inspection later, and we're planning our next part of the journey - next stop Salomé's World (Eafots RX-T d3-3) before heading deeper into the Formidine Rift.
