Greetings, CMDR. The Borderlands Venture is a one-of-a-kind shot at better understanding our galaxy. Its purpose is to collect data, travel far away, see sights, and most-of-all, enjoy the deep blackness and the taste for knowledge. There will be great distances covered. There will be long silent treks in lightless areas. There will be spreadsheets (fear them not!)... It is not a job for casual explorers. It is not job to do in a rush. It is not a job where we can afford to double check.

The prime goal is to methodically survey a complete sector of our galaxy. The sector is situated somewhere on the fringe of the Upper 1st Quadrant (find it on the Galactic Mapping Project archives), near Wagar's Reach, The Outer Arm Rift and Mare Desesperationis. By methodically registering everything, we will be sure to found what the Galaxy has in store for us...

I address in particular to trustworthy people and explorers at heart, willing to help carrying this mission until its end and to enjoy doing so. There is no 'exploration rank', or 'level', or 'experience' requirement. Beginners who prefer silent and solo-like exploration are welcome. I only ask dedication and care with the work of others, for the time you choose to take part.
