A competitive mining rush has been sparked by the primary faction of LP 855-34 calling for Platinum to support several construction projects.

Forces on behalf of Felicia Winters and Yuri Grom have both answered the call and are now in conflict over the currently unoccupied system.

A representative of Yuri Grom's fleet accused the Federation of exploiting the system:

"We came here to trade honest labour for honest pay. But these Federal weasels are already looking to corner the market! There's little point trying to negotiate approved mining spots with them, so we'll simply work harder than they can!"

Grom's power base has called for pilots to sign up to support industrial mining efforts. Pilots willing to participate can register at The Undeniable in LP 855-34.

Platinum mined and sold as part of this initiative will have a 4x price multiplier.

Pilots who register at least 1 contribution by mining Platinum then selling it at The Undeniable will receive the following rewards, regardless of which power wins:

• 1x Fully engineered 1D abrasion blaster with long range modification
• Credits, depending on success tier achieved and individual contribution level.

If Grom emerges victorious, pilots in the top 75% and above, regardless of their pledged power, will receive:

• Additional 1x Fully engineered 1D abrasion blaster with long range modification

If Grom emerges victorious, those who are specifically pledged to Yuri Grom's Power will also receive:

• 40,000 merits
• Yuri Grom Powerplay banner cockpit customisation

The two factions have set out two week-long operations to establish their positions in the system, which begin on the 1st of May 3311.

"The fine people of LP 855-34 have ambitions for their home, and it seems natural for us to help gather the necessary materials. But, unsurprisingly, Yuri Grom's zealous followers simply had to get involved and make this a competition. It's up to us to demonstrate the power of the Federal industrial machine!"

The governing faction of the Dhan system has called for support in fending off a spike in local piracy.

Harald Gomes, head of security for the Dhan Empire League, spoke to local reporters:

"It's becoming obvious that pirates are growing bolder in recent weeks. We've received alarming frequent reports of attacks and looting throughout our system's many planetary rings – icy rings in particular. Our security forces are overwhelmed, and the Imperial navy is occupied in other areas. So, we're asking for help."

While piracy hotspots are not unusual, the situation in Dhan has drawn interest due to rumours that Gutamaya analysts have arrived in the system to track the performance of any newly released Corsair vessels used in the fighting.

Dhan Empire League has offered extra rewards to independent combat pilots willing to eliminate criminals and collect bounties in Dhan, after registering at Kidd Station in advance.

Pilots who register at least 1 contribution by handing in bounties at Kidd Station will receive the following rewards:

• One fully engineered A-rated Kill Warrant Scanner with fast scan and long range modifications.
• One fully engineered C-rated Kill Warrant Scanner with fast scan and long range modifications.
• Imperial Clipper Empire Etiquette paint job

Credits will also be awarded depending on success tier achieved and individual contribution level.

The campaign begins on the 10th of April 3311 and will run for two weeks. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.

Imperial agents have been blamed for an outbreak of combat in the Federally controlled Chi Eridani system.

Several incidents have occurred between supporters of Shadow President Jerome Archer and Senator Denton Patreus of the Empire. The former group blames the latter for trying to subvert Federal governance of the system.

Vox Galactica spoke to a representative for Jerome Archer's power base in Chi Eridani:

"Recent interactions with these Imperial troublemakers have been challenging, to say the least. But we didn't expect them to flood the system in such large numbers! As such they should be treated as a hostile invading force. Patreus's proxy squadrons must be driven out to solidify Jerome Archer's position as the key figurehead of Chi Eridani."

Archer's power base has called for combat pilots to sign up to the ongoing conflict. Pilots willing to participate can register at Steve Masters starport in Chi Eridani.

Pilots who contribute on Archer's behalf will receive credits and a Federal Assault Ship Federation Utility paint job. Those who are specifically pledged to Jerome Archer's Power will also receive 40,000 merits if the Archer campaign emerges victorious.
