Long ago I achieved Elite status for both Trade and Combat; combat being my prefered profession. Exploration though has taken my interest of late and for that the Pilots Federation have declared me Elite in exploration too - even though I'm not quite 25kLY out from Sol yet!

At the same time as this my upload to Univeral Cartographics included a system valued at almost 9 million credits (mainly due to the triple water-world discovery) ... 'EOR AOSCS YJ-R E4-6023'. Now I know this isn't in anyway near the most valuable system, but prior to this little expedition my most valuable was less and 1 million credits.

Anyway - having a few drinks at Polo Harbour; I've earned it after 'popping over' to Colonia just to get the badge and a souvenir! Oh and word to the wise; don't use your AFM to repair your FSD whilst it's running! My neck still hurts from the sudden drop out of frameshift.

So I got a tip about some weird crystal entities and figured what the heck - time for a visit. No idea what to do with them now I'm looking at them though! Guess back to the bar :)

Today saw me start my travels with the Distant Worlds 2 expedition. A somewhat speedy neutron-powered sprint up to the first way-point. I'm going to try not spend the whole week in the bars at the Omega Mining Operation asteroid station. There's sure to be some interesting stories to be had from those miners - but I'd really like to have a tour of the nebular. Yeah, I think that's what I'll do.

Only recently did I achieve the rank Admiral withing the upper echelons of the Federal Navy then they send me on a trip to Empire space to infiltrate their navy.

After a hard slog working my way up the Imperial ranks I now find myself proclaimed a Imperial Navy 'King'! I find this title a little OTT if I'm honest; what am I king of? Where are my subjects?

In fact, in general for both navies; why is it I can't order other lower ranked members of respective navies to do my bidding!? Aside from the few perks we receive from these ranks, what does it mean!? How soon before they strip these ranks from us when they realise there's no required loyalty to a single navy!

The question I ask myself whilst I sip the last of my Lavian Brandy (must go get some more) is what I should do given the new Thargoid threat. On one hand I feel I'm capable enough to help the Aegis efforts, but on the other I doubt there's much profit in it. If the latter proves to be an incorrect assumption then you'll surely see me there on the front lines in my pride and joy, 'Desolate Demise' though a few more trips out for some extra engineering 'advice' might be a good place to start.
