While we are too far inside the loop to see it in detail (the Pink Mass on the right is part of it) While In Barnard's Loop you do get an excellent view of several other nebula.

Such a ominous feel, dark and dreary, like the deep hues of a storm-front on the far horizon

Co-Pilot Daniella Oliver attempted to launch a Ping pong ball into orbit with a Geyser, unknown Success as we didn't have tracking equipment on the ball. It then occurred to me she never once beat me at ping pong, and that was our last ball. She has promised to replace it with something "just as good" at Witch head Science Centre. I have a feeling it will be some game, I will surely be bad at.

Credit for the idea of this shot goes to the photo on EDSM, I just retook a similar in 1050x5040, High res. It is the first one of my Expedition i consider Desktop worthy. Spirograph Nebula seen from BD-12 1172 Planet 1.
Taken with the High Res feature, Alt+F10, seen here with slightly less wintry feel and more a Tie Dye T-Shirt look.
Black hole to the left of the very bright O type
Log about the trip to Betelgeuse:
-It's true, rich people do get more toys. While I had never bought the 7A fuel Scoop before, due to it's outrageous cost, I did for this trip. WOW, you barely have to graze a sun to scoop a full tank, it's great!
-I've had to get used to cruising while managing power consumption, at first it was confusing and tricky, until i realized, it's like running on a battery. Learned you can turn off the power distributor even, has saved a lot of heat, which saves time. Did some EDSM triangulation enroute, I have to check that list regularly, see if they aren't too far off course.
-The wife just realized the scope of this, she thought I was talking some "game time" when i told her six months, she asked how far on my 512 I was, was like I'll get to 3 today. Also, why can't my cute co-pilot sit in one of the chairs on the bridge?

-Man this thing is huge, I was scooping fuel almost all the way to planet two! I kept moving the SRV further and further away from the Nomad, trying to get srv on left and Nomad on right for the shot, realised if I skewed the camera, it messed up the size perspective, so instead, took the below one. There is actually an SRV in that picture, left of center, bottom.
