A small and somewhat irregular planetary nebula caused by the supernova of a once massive star of at least 25 solar masses, which then collapsed into a black hole. The radiation of the surrounding stars agitate the nebula's gas and makes it shine in bright blue and purple hues. The nebula was named after Jaques Godefroy, a French statesman, collector and compiler of ancient maps, literature and legal texts.
