Mining

After watching some interesting videos on mining techniques, I've come to realize I've been doing it all wrong for years. Anyway I would like to give a hearty shout out to CMDR D2EA, and my the members of the Brocast for sharing their insights and adventure for enthusiasts such as myself. In the last 48 hours I've made over 1.5 billion credits mining solo. Shoot I can only imagine how much I could make in a wing.

Beagle Point Expedition completed

On today the 23rd Day of May in the year of our Lord 2019 (3305), I finally completed my very first expedition. It was a trying time due to all the server issues at the start of the journey, then to get blown up by rude players who only get thrills off of attacking unarmed exploration ships, but through it all I've finally finished the journey. During the journey I received the following badges:

  • 1,000,000ly Club!
  • 65,000ly Club!
  • Humboldt's Trail In total I have 50 of the 71 badges. I'm about to get my 51st badge (Is there anybody out there?) by heading to Colonia. Here's CMDR J. Wood signing off.
1,000,000 lyr badge

Just earned my 1,000,000 lyr badge this past week....woooo!!!!! It's been a long time coming, I'd like to thank all my ships that have carried me this far into and around the blackness of space. Together we've seen more asteroids, nebulas, pirates, water worlds, earth-like planets and alien civilizations than you can shake a stick at. My thanks goes out to all the mechanics and starbase pit crews who have kept my ship armed and in pristine condition. I look forward to earning my 2.5 million lyr badge.

Sincerely, CMDR Joseph Wood

Returned!!!

Just touched down at Jameson Memorial Station, its been a long journey but was the most fun I've had, I see now why CMDR Obsidian-Ant loves exploring so much. I must say I love my Kraitt Phantom, it handled beautifully. Now its time to see how much money I'm going to get for my system scans.

Arrived at Sagittarius A*

Finally arrived at Sagi A*, I must say I'm taken back on how beautiful and awesome this giant black hole looks. Now give me my badge.

Nebula Scans

Just completed a survey of a few systems in the GREEROI AA-A H3 nebula in the Ryker's Hope region of the galaxy. It's been fun, but now it's time to head to the big black hole at Sagittarius A*. Jump routes plotted and here we go!!!!

Earned my Earth in sight badge.

Woo hoo, earned my Earth in sight badge.

Finally, my first wolf-rayet

Finally arrived in system Pheia Phylio AA-A H3 and saw my first Wolf-Rayet star. Must say I was a little underwhelmed. I guess I didn't know what to expect when I saw one for the first time. Now off to some other systems.

Having fun testing my new Krait Phantom.

Ahh, this is day four in my new Krait Phantom starship. I've decided to outfit her for deep space exploration. For my first deep space trip I decided to take some famous explorer to see the Mighty (whatever that is). Well it's a 18k lyr journey, so it should be fun.
Right now I'm about 3500 lyrs away from reaching the Mighty, and so far I love this ship!!!! I'm able to carry the following modules: -frame shift wake scanner -afmu 5A -guardian frame shift booster 5h -fuel scoop 6A -planetary vehicle hanger 2G -first class module 5C -auto landing module -detailed surface scanner And she still able to jump 63 lyrs with a max of 67 lyrs, this is better than my Asp Explorer and I'm able to hold everything I could possibly need for such a journey. Right now I named her Facece Phantom. I think I'm going to rename her when I return to the bubble.

Update: About 3 hours from drafting the above log, I reached my destination, Kyloalks DL-Y G17, and scanned the Mighty buoy. This was the first time I came across a world with 9.90x's gravity. I'm not going down there..ha ha ha. Now I'm off to PHEIA PHYLIO AA-A H3, it appears to have a Wolf-Rayet O star. After that I'm going to the Massive Black hole at Sagittarius A*.
