Distant Worlds 2 - Day 061 - 072

Ship System Log:

CMDR Log: Comrade_Aleksand

Personal log

03/15/3305 - 1750 UTC

Location: G2 Dust Cloud Sector PD-S b4-28

Status: Landed on planet

I've started a bit early and set a waypoint to what looks like a small nebula, after realizing that it was just a dust cloud. I have parked my ship in this location for the time being until the next waypoint is decided.

During my launch attempt, I have realized I have forgotten to strip down my Anaconda so I have decided to travel back to Explorer's Anchorage to also repair my ship.

Have been having some issues on my ship for the past two days, it took me a while to figure that was some technical issues with navigation controls and several problems with the ship's sensors. It took the system diagnostic scan fifteen hours to repair all the problems I've had on my ship. Now I am ready to head towards waypoint eight.

Happened to come across a few problems with the FSD and found nothing wrong after performing a system check. Still, something had interfered with it for several days now and I still can't find anything wrong. I jumped to my next waypoint without any problems, for now.

Distant Worlds 2 - Day 054 - 060 + RAXXLA

CMDR Log: Comrade_Aleksand

Personal log

03/09/3305 - 1150 UTC

Location: Stuemeae FG-Y d7561

Status: Docked at Explorer's Anchorage

The mining is going smoothly and without any complications so far I made two runs with a total of about three hundred and fifty tons. I would have done more if I had better mining equipment and wouldn't spend half a day mining.

While mining for bauxite I did some exploring in hopes I would find something interesting. I did find several planets that I believed could be good candidates for Guardian ruins/sites. But, I was mistaken and all I found were geological and biological signals. Shame.

03/13/3305 - 1800 UTC

Last chance for mining before it ends. I have mined over one thousand tons of bauxite and strangely my trade rank didn't even budge. On top of that, I also found new systems with water and Earth-like worlds, most that can be terraformed.

03/14/3305 - 2040 UTC

I found some bits of interesting news. The "original bubble" and that most of these systems are populated and also make a "circle."

All the credit goes to Down To Earth Astronomy who  may or may not have given a clue to finding Raxxla ORIGINAL BUBBLE Hunt for Raxxla with SCIENCE!! with Down To Earth Astronomy

But so far the trail hasn't gone cold.  My brother along with others have been exploring these systems and allying with all of them. But, some of these original factions (player faction) no longer have control in their systems. So they're trying to bring them back to power at the same time trying not to get blown up by hostile ships.

SYSTEM PERMITS In the uninhabited tab, Dryio Flyuae IC-B c1-377 and Scheau Bli NB-O d6-1409 require security permits though it is currently unknown where they can be acquired from as for the others there is still a mystery. That aside right now the "original bubble" is still the safe bet to find Raxxla. It may take a while but if there are just a few more CMDRs they may end up putting the control of the systems back to their original controlling factions. Right now the system Ra is the only system that is in trouble since the controlling (player faction) faction lost its control over the system.

Distant Worlds 2 - Day 053

Personal log

03/08/3305 - 1750 UTC

Location: Stuemeae FG-Y d7561

Status: Docked at Explorer's Anchorage

For several days now there have been reports of Commanders believing they may have found a way to locate Raxxla. Some of them have dropped the Distant Worlds Expedition and returned to the bubble. What I understand is one must locate every megaship and get their audio logs. Some which will be very difficult to get to since one of two of them are located near a neutron star. After that, they will receive tip-off missions after flying some six hundred light years from the said megaship. (Or just fly around until you receive them) Which they must complete, e.i. getting into an SRV, attacking a planetary base, disabling it and getting what the mission needs from them and getting out of there alive or you'll fail the mission if you die.

There's also the rumor about The Dark Wheel in Shinrarta Dezhra and getting a certain rank with them. These Commanders believe that these tip-off missions are "tests," (and not about the payout of these missions) to see if you are "worthy." Though some of them are quite difficult to complete even in groups. After completing these all of these missions sooner or later they will be contacted and awarded with an unknown permit to some permit locked system where they will find it.

Whether this is true or not, more than a dozen Commanders have had already started locating every megaship, scanning their audio logs and getting the tip-off missions. Who knows, maybe that's how you find its location. I am a bit skeptical and very curious at the same time. It may be a waste of time or it may pay off and will solve the biggest mystery since day one it was first mentioned.

Well, some of this is quite unexpected to be certain. We have to deliver Bauxite, Water and Liquid Oxygen to Explorer's Anchorage. The good news is some of the Distant Worlds members have already found suitable ringed planets for these resources.

Location: Stuemeae FG-Y d7561

Status: Docked at Explorer's Anchorage

After a few days of rest and some exploration of the available sections of the station, I have decided it is time for me to get out there and go exploring. Before that, I should let the alcohol wear off before I go out. I don't want any accidents to happen while I am under the influence.

I may have misinterpreted the information about the next Community Goal. It seems that the one that will be focused on Explorer's Anchorage will be on the next week after this one. Oh well, looks like I can take some few days of R&R before I go back to open space.

I have about one hundred jumps left to waypoint seven, though I could do some sightseeing but, I won't risk it. I'd better pick up the pace up if I don't want to be late for tomorrow's Community Goal.

Commander's Log Supplemental 02/28/3305 - 0018 UTC

Made it to waypoint seven with time to spare. I visited Stuemeae KM-W c1-342 (Armstrong Landing) and located a Notable Stellar Phenomena in the asteroid field of a planet. There I found K11-Type anomalies that started to drain my ship's shields the moment I came too close to them Then there were solid mineral spheres and metallic crystals.

Status: Approaching Starport

Finally, I have arrived to Colonia and heading towards the starport at supercruise. I have one more day to make in time back to waypoint seven.

Commander's Log Supplemental 02/27/3305 - 0415

I have called it a day and tomorrow I'll proceed to waypoint seven as for now I'll park at the Kyloarph NO-V c17-861 system.

Distant Worlds 2 - Day 043

Ship System Log:

CMDR Log: Comrade_Aleksand

Personal log

02/26/3305 - 0025 UTC

Location: Stuemeae FG-Y d7561 (Explorer's Anchorage)

Status: Docked at Explorer's Anchorage

After exploring most of the surrounding systems I inadvertently caused some damage to my ship after crashing into an asteroid while searching for any mining sites for the upcoming Community Goal. Sadly the station that I am on has no repair facilities for the moment. I could return to Colonia but, it will take me at least one-hundred and ninety jumps but, if I remove any unnecessary equipment from my ship it may increase my jump range for fewer jumps.
