I never believed it when they said that you can't prepare your mind for this sight.

I was wrong.

Here I am sitting three thousand light years above the galactic plane looking down and I am completely lost for words. It's simply too beautiful to describe. But even with the truly impressive sight of four hundred billion stars beneath my feet, I can't help but feel that it is the blackness above my head that holds the true beauty here.

Helix doesn't seem too impressed however. He's not holding back with his protest about the fact we ran out of cat food last week. I don't blame him. I'm not too happy to back on the rations either. Still, it won't be for long.

We're dropping back down into the core for a quick pit stop at Explorer's Anchorage. I need to restock and get my frame shift drive looked at. It's been playing up ever since I got a little too close to a black hole.

From there.... who knows?
