Great Annihilator Reached

Xanadu Reaches Great Annihilator

After 49 jumps from T'u Tu, departing on 24 JUL 3309. I am proud to announce her arrival in the first leg of our journey to The Pit. The Great Annihilator. A wonderful system with a black hole that astounds and mystifies this commander to no end. I would like to take more time exploring her region, and will do so on the return trip home, but there's more pressing matters that keep us moving on toward our final destination: The Pit.

EHAM will be a wonderous discovery for me, as reports from other commanders are coming in on new discoveries and findings in this vast area of space.

In 25 jumps I will join the EHAM carriers and take a place somewhere in the area to provide services to those who may need them.

Excited, am I. Indeed, most excited.

It's lonely in deep space

I would say the most interesting thing about spending time jumping a fleet carrier is the time spent waiting for the next jump to initiate. There's documents to be worked on, other projects to attend to and the occasional watch of the jump timer.

I have the hopes that my trip will be worth the long hours of just jumping Xanadu for the journey. 17k light years is a long long way..

Having joined in the EHAM operation, I was a passenger on the Aleksander [T6V-8HK] when I received notification that my application for Hull Seals was approved, and I was to report to the bubble for training. We arrived at Great Annhilator when the communicae arrived, which means I would need to leave the FC, and return back to the bubble to attend the training session.

Xanadu [T8B-TBJ] was parked in Shapsagabus, and I remotely jumped her as close to Great Annhilator as the fuel tank would allow, but left me with considerable distance to reach her as I couldn't remotely refill the tank.

I plotted a neutron route to get back as fast as possible. 135 jumps, and several repairs the FSD as well as detours to scoop, I arrived at Xanadu and jumped to T'u Tu to attend my training for the Hull Seals.

The training didn't go well, and I was unprepared for the test, so I failed miserably, and was told I would not be a suitable candidate for membership in the Hull Seals. I get it. OK, so now what?

I filled up Xanadu with Tritium while we were in T'u Tu and decided I could possibly make it in time for the EHAM ceremonial Jump next Friday in The Pit at Athaiwyg AA-A f0.

So, as of this writing, I am 4 jumps to Great Annhilator, then 24 more jumps to the pit and I have 2 days to get there.
