So, I'm still trying to get used to this new flight suit I've got rigged up for exploration. Standing next to some Guardian ruins trying to figure out how to scan this weird tree looking thing with 'brains' on it. It's dark. Kinda worried some space zombies might be lurking nearby. Instead of pulling out the bio-scanner, I somehow manage to throw a freaking grenade at the brain-tree which bounced back and blew up in my face. Thank the cosmos I had my shield on, though I'm not sure how I did that either. So, yeah... that really hurt. Made it back to my ship and now I'm just going to wait until the star appears over the horizon because I'm too scared to get out again while it's dark. Being 12,000 light years from Sol really starts to mess with your mind.

Today, about half way to Colonia, I was the first to discover an Earth-like world in some system I will never remember the name of. Wish there was somewhere in the Codex that tells you what systems you made first-discoveries in. If there's a way to do it, I wish I could find it. o7 Commanders! Hope to see you in the black!
