I'll admit that I was skeptical about all the hype around the Mandalay, as an avid Anaconda fan due to its long range jump ability I thought it was just another exploration ship.

However, after flying the Mandalay for a few weeks it has grown on me. It has superior handling and with the overcharged frameshift drive makes for a much better exploration ship, with dare I say a better jump range.

I look forward to doing a long range trip with the Mandalay soon. I have spent months out in the black with my Jumpaconda but always felt like detailed surface scans took too long, but with the OFD getting to those far away planets and moons is just a quick boost away!
