Took a little detour between HR 3389 and HR 3166 when I found a planet with mineral digging trees.

Sometimes you need to go a bit further, before you can start getting back. Today's target was HR 3226 over 4000 light years from Sol. After getting there I started to move in the general direction of Sol ending up in the HR 3114 system.

Next outing took me to y3 Puppis, HR 3146 and HD 67341. Picked a little smaller area in the sky on the way out and decided to also fly through systems within 1000 light years of Sol. One of the more interesting systems on the way out was HD 64365 with a B star orbited by a black hole - neutron star pair.

First trip into the black my main objectives were HR 1930 and 59 G. Carinae 5347 light years from Sol. It took me three days to get there and one long stint to fly back to the Bubble.

Some time ago I decided that my first great voyage into the black would be touring of as many of the stars in the Yale Catalogue of Bright Stars (YBS). YBS is one of the oldest systematic catalogues of stars that lists all stars of stellar magnitude 6.5 or brighter, which is roughly every star visible to the naked eye from Earth. The catalog lists 9,110 objects, of which 9,095 are stars, 11 are novae or supernovae, and four are non-stellar objects which are the globular clusters 47 Tucanae (designated HR 95) and NGC 2808 (HR 3671), and the open clusters NGC 2281 (HR 2496) and Messier 67 (HR 3515).
The first phase of preparation for this was matching all the possible objects with the stars in the universe of Elite: Dangerous. This gave me a list of 8,897 systems of which some are unfortunately unreachable in the current state of the game. In the second phase I collected the credits, materials, engineering modifications and Guardian blueprints required to outfit my trusty Anaconda CC-11S Barbalala for this grand tour.
Finally on the evening of February 11, 3307 I departed from the Jameson Memorial for the first leg of the voyage.

Took few hours to unlock few more engineers. Still a couple that need some work. Need to get out my mining Python for Selene Jean.
Next few weeks will probably go into preparing for a grand exploration tour. The details will be held secret until further notice.
Participated in my first community goal mapping ammonia worlds in the Musca Dark Region. Made over 550 MCr during the community goal itself and started the aftermath by racking up 250 MCr more in two stints. Relatively easy way to get Elite explorer and billion credits.
Decided to stop grinding and go visit Earth. Was disappointed that so many places were marked as not landable. Then checked out couple of Generation Ships and just decided to bounce around looking for random missions while mapping all the high interest worlds that I happened to run into.
