Deep Space Miners

Currently enjoying the hospitality and livery services of the Omega Mining Operation. Pretty far out from civilization right now. Renamed my formerly unnamed Diamondback. It's now the Singularity Diver. I'm not planning on crashing into anything, but I think I'm gonna be getting pretty close to Sgr A*. Was a fairly mundane jaunt out to Observation Post Epsilon, then around back to Omega Mining Operation. Planning on taking a small break, then going to Eagle's Landing. Might drop by Eagle Sector Secure Facility on the way - as a visitor. Crazy why we have a prison so far out. Going to spend the night at Eagle's Landing, though. Both places are pretty close. Will be writing more once I get there.

Expedition Started

Currently at Attenborough's Watch. Lovely little asteroid station. Rings around the gas giant were a little bit tricky. I set out two days ago on an expedition to the center of the galaxy. I'd made a cool few million credits from exploration (mostly from a run to and from the Pleiades - not going back there until the whole Thargoid mess gets cleared up), so after some messing around with trading (boring!), I decided to buy an exploration ship, kit it out, and go on a cruise to Sgr A*. First leg of the journey out was from somewhere near Eranin (I'll check this later, once my log finishes uploading), to my first waypoint, Hillary Depot. Rested there. Journey was slow and boring. Lots of good data, but nary an interesting vista to see. Uploading my logs and writing this entry, maybe for the folks at home. Maybe for no-one. We'll see.

My first stop on this whole journey was a visit to CMDR Jameson's crashed Cobra. Wasn't too bad of a trip, really short, less than 20 or so jumps out from Eranin. Kinda sad, listening to his log entries. Returned back to Eranin, finished kitting our my Diamondback. Dang - forgot to name it! Be right back - jumping to a station with livery services. Thankfully Amundsen Terminal is close.

Nope. Amundsen doesn't do livery either. Guess I'll have to wait till Colonia and Jacques Station.

Back to the log. Second place I stopped at was Hillary Station. That was yesterday. Couple thousand light years out from Sol, it was dark and empty. After a night there, headed out for Amundsen. Still empty, but I spotted some interesting constellations. Big cluster of really blue stars, like you see flying by in witch-space. Didn't check it out too much, it was a really small cluster. Amundsen was fairly mundane, just another stop out here in the deep dark.

Plans for tomorrow are to go to Observation Post Epsilon, then route back to Omega Mining Operation. Might turn and go to Eagle's Landing, if I don't feel stir-crazy sitting in a cockpit for so long.

Well, that's all for now. I might stick around and wait for my logs to finish uploading.
