NGC 659 is an Open cluster of stars in the Cassiopeia OB8 association. It contains about 50 stars and is in the process of moving coreward and 'in front of' the nearby cluster of NGC 663.

The cluster was discovered by Caroline Herschel, the daughter of famous 18th century astronomer William Herschel.
