(Diamondback Explorer)
My journey to the Galactic centre in the Deepblack Explorer has given many opportunities to record unknown neutron stars, black holes and various rocky bodies, but until today nothing that posed a risk to my vessel. However today, while seeking a system for refueling, I found a binary star system in which the stars were so close it was possible to scoop from both simultaneously. Amused by the novelty I had not considered that my ship - which never usually exceeds 65% of its heat capacity even when scooping from empty to capacity - would rapidly overheat when subject to radiation from both sides! Cue frantic launching of heat sinks and a rapid departure into the void. Even the best engineered ship needs some shade to stay chill!
