DSSA The Helix

24 APR 3307

After enjoying a long rest at Black Adder Port I finally set out to visit the The Helix. That trip didn't take long, it was only a few thousand light years after all. I forgot to taste the delicious pod core tissues along the way, but that's okay, because I didn't bring tea anyways.

I must thank CMDR Ouster Angel for providing a great resting place in deep space. Nr. 9 apparently. The stay didn't last long though, DSSA Dryman's Hope is calling me. I'm already halfway there!

Surprise DSSA FC: Black Adder Port

16 APR 3307

So I traveled to Ultima Centauri and did a quick system scan. To my surprise there was a fleet carrier in the system, a DSSA FC! Apparently my map of DSSA FC's was incomplete. From now on I'll be using the edastro maps :)

Well, DSSA Black Adder Port is number 8, of we go to number 9: DSSA The Helix

DSSA HSRC Deep Thought

11 APR 3307

Trees, well, that's what those root systems floating in space are called. I found quite a few of them on the way to DSSA HSRC Deep Thought. Found all the different species :).

And yes, I arrived at the aforementioned DSSA fleet carrier. It was a good spot to repair my ship. I don't think it was necessary, because a CMDR as skilled as me would never crash into a tree of course... Anyways, thank you, CMDR SKidathor!

Next up: a short sidestep to Ultima Centauri on my way to DSSA The Helix

Edit: Forgot to keep count. It's number 7/??

DSSA Gene Roddenberry

4 APR 3307

I arrived at the fleet carrier. The 6th already. It wasn't easy to take a good looking selfie, especially because I wanted to include the glorious sunrise on the earth like world in the background. The result is fine anyways.

The modules on this fleet carrier weren't sold out yet. I got myself an SRV bay, soon I will crash my Phantom into a planet and then I can do a bit of driving! Haven't done that in months.

Next goal: DSSA HSRC Deep Thought

A Brief History

4 APR 3307

This first log serves as a short recap of my history as a CMDR.

My memories of the past are a bit hazy, but I do recall hauling cargo in the hopes of making some small profits. Later I started carrying some rich folks around in a dolphin. I think it was during that time that I found out that it's possible to jump farther then 7 or 8 ly! Happy times...

The next thing I remember is buying my first anaconda. I was so hyped up for it, it was quite a bummer when I found out that it's rather sluggish. But hey, that's nothing a few module upgrades and a bit of engineering couldn't solve. It turned out to be a pretty decent cargo hauler. Yep, back to that business.

Sometime in January of February a fellow CMDR wanted to go to Colonia with me. The first long distance trip. Well, we prepared a bit for that and one thing led to another. Some Robigo lining, 100 million credits, a new Krait Phantom and a ton of engineering later we were ready to go.

I found that trip quite enjoyable. Mining and trading in Colonia was fun for a while, even got a second Anaconda. But after a week, maybe two, I went back to exploration. Sag A* was the goal when I left on the 24th of February. Well, that didn't take long and shortly after I was on my way to Beagle Point. From there on it was only a short hop to Oevasy SG-Y d0, aka Semotus Beacon or Ishum's Reach.

It was only then that I realized how far away from Sol I was. About 60 kly! I decided to follow the Sagittarius-Carina Arm on my way back. That was the plan anyways... Soon after I learned about the DSSA initiative and I decided to visit the nearest fleet carrier: DSSA Jolly Roger. That visit started my quest to visit all DSSA FC's.

It didn't take long to reach Mandy's Rest, quickly followed by visits to Stellar Oasis, Nest, and Deep Space 12. I took some space ship selfies with each of them. Maybe I'll share them one day. Now I'm getting close to reaching the Gene Roddenberry. I'm sure the next log will be about my visit there.
