Poor Decision #1: Deciding to take the Exploration Anaconda to the Strong G planet in HD 148987, 9.77g at the surface. Poor Decision #2: Undersized Thrusters. Though they were grade 5 dirty drives, it was not enough.

The Journey was short, just out to the planet to see if we could land. I had a feeling it was a bad idea, but it was my idea and I wanted to do this.

After a tantalizing 10 minute decent I carefully lowered it to the ground, and landed, but the gears didnt engage. I lifted it up about 100m and the moment I let go of the thrust the Anaconda accelerated to around 100m/s and slowed down via terminal lithobraking.

I woke back up in Ross 129 where the journey began.
