Expedition announce

Cmdr Joe Plater passed away recently from thyroid cancer. Before he was too ill to continue, he streamed Elite Dangerous content extensively. His streams were always entertaining and informative. He is a great loss to the wider Elite Dangerous community and will be missed.

One of his last Elite Dangerous streams was to the Statue of Liberty Nebula, which is only 6000 ly away from Sol. Join us on this fun charity run - we will be doing weekly get-togethers and asking Cmdrs to donate directly to Cmdr Plater’s charity of choice - the British Thyroid Foundation.

All Cmdrs welcome, but this short expedition will suit newer Cmdrs who have yet to open up the 5000 ly minimum distance requirement of Professor Palin. We will be going at a very relaxed pace of only 1000 ly per week in an area that has sufficient stars that even a brand new Cmdr with no engineering should be able to complete. If in doubt, there will be carriers to support the expedition.
