This star cluster located in the constellation Lacerta or "The Lizard" was discovered by William Herschel in October 1787. The cluster contains a total of roughly 150 systems, the most prominent of which are CN Lacertae and an archipelago of six relatively cool Class B stars approximately 200 light years in length:
