19:10 Travelled unhindered to muster point at Brookes Point in Pallaeni. Observed a number of ships including an FDL and Fed Corvette behaving suspiciously reported activity to expedition defence wing.

19:40 Moved on to beacon again unmolested at

19:45 Moved to assist aspX under fire from Vulture. In absence of defence wing engaged and destroyed hostile but not before they managed to destroy the asp. Was able to rescue crew and hand on to medical support vessel.

20:00 Joined fleet jump to HR 5413 where suffered complete power loss. Unable to determine cause of power plant shutdown, but able to reboot from emergency battery.

21:15 Resumed progress towards HD 138623 but ended day at Praea Euq CV-G c10-23 653ly from start but still 193ly short of target. Completed full system scan of 17 system Complete map of 1 system COL 285 AHH B25-5: Confirmed calibration of enhanced probes Astrogation reference distances at Praea EQU MR-U B16-5

While we fell short of planned run by six systems given the power failure nothing from the fist day suggest planned schedule is problematic. Nature of power plant crash remains unknown so unable to speculate on potential for reaccurance, but as no systems damaged believe it is an acceptable risk to continue.

Following a week of field trials and the acquisition of Guardian FSD booster technology the ship we're using for the Distant Worlds 2 expedition will be the python AE-30E Her Divine Shadow and not the asp explorer INFI as originally planned. An update has been submitted to the expedition roster.
