On the way to Sag A*

Late entry here. A couple sessions ago, CMDR SeeJayEm and I began the journey to the center of the Milky Way galaxy. That in and of itself would be a trip many would be loathe to make. However, we're planning on this being a jumping-off point for much further explorations.

Now, I don't know that we're the sort to circumnavigate our home galaxy, but I think we both yearn to get out among virgin stars. To lay eyes and sensors upon planets no human has ever seen before. "To boldly go..." "Second star to the right..." all that stuff.

I'd also like to swing through Colonia on the way. Pick up some souvenirs and maybe catch up with some old friends (some of whom may or may not be HIDING from the Thargoid threat back in the bubble). And the Sovereignty have established a presence out there. They're good people always willing to help out if we needed anything.

I've hinted I wouldn't mind shooting for Beagle Point, but I don't think my fellow Commander is ready for that kind of commitment. We'll see.

To the Crab Nebula and back again

After a final push we arrived at the Crab Nebula last week. The pulsar was awe inspiring. I got lost in its mesmerizing motion.

Hopping out of the "back" of the nebula to get some images looking towards the galactic center, I'm confused by another ship in the system. CMDR SeeJayEmm had not completed his jump yet. Who would be out this far? Then I see another ship in pursuit of that one. What is going on? I check my navigation panel and discover there's an asteroid station way out here.

I'm not sure if I was more relieved to have the opportunity to touch base with civilization, or chagrined at visiting a wonder of the universe only to see a stand selling souvenir t-shirts. (Either way, I bought a shirt!)

Time to step off the path

On our way to the Crab Nebula. After discussing it with the commander of our companion ship, we decided it was time to get off the common route and find some systems that no human had ever directly laid eyes upon.
