The Thargoids have managed to create chaos and confusion by disabling the Gnosis. Just leaving the launch pads was an exercise in grit and a touch of madness as they were under constant strafing fire from Thargoid Scouts. Thank goodness that among the multitude of exploration vessels aboard, several warships had been in accompaniment. These brave commanders blasted their way past the enemy scouts, and rallied to the defense of the Gnosis and her passengers. I witnessed as they laid covering fire to allow weaker exploration ships to escape the carnage. Even more inspiring, all previous political animosities seemed to have been put aside in the face of this common adversary. Federal pilots fought side by side with Imperial and Alliance affiliated Commanders. It was impressive to see, and gives me hope for the future.

I am glad I listened to my gut on this one. Before joining the Gnosis expedition, at the last minute I traded in my DBX exploration vessel for my multi purpose Python. Over the years, I have upgraded and engineered the Sorrow into an A rated tank. She is both able to explore, while also being able to take and give significant damage. However, after engaging the Thargoids around the Gnosis for awhile, I had to admit that my conventional weapons were having little affect. I am now on my way back to the Bubble, in the hopes of finding some better firepower.

On my journey, through previously undiscovered and little-visited systems, I have passed several commanders heading towards the Gnosis. Good hunting Commanders, and fly safe. o7

6 SEP 3304 The Gnosis

I awoke in my bunk to the sound of alarms blaring. I ran up to the cockpit of my Python and fired up the computer. I am not sure what happened, but the Gnosis has ordered an evacuation of all non-essential personnel. I am not surprised at this turn of events, if I am honest with myself. I had a bad feeling about this last jump. Looking at the scrambled NAV computer, we appear to be in Outotz ST-I d9-6. Definitely not the Cone Sector.

I am off to see if I can get my ship out of the hangar. Maybe I can be of assistance in the evacuation or defense of the Gnosis, depending on what I find out there.

30 AUG 3304 03:25 UTC Arrived in system HD 51502, and have successfully rendezvoused with the Canonn Interstellar Research Group vessel, the Gnosis. I have completed the journey from the Bubble just in time too, as departure time is less than 3 hours away. I look forward to the adventure ahead.
