The centre of the galaxy and way point 7

Well, it has been a nice flight from wp6, the sights have been, as expected, beautiful and in regard to the two major black holes, terrifying knowing what they can do. Just flying close to sag A was causing a major build-up of heat and for the first time on this trip, I had to use a heat sink.

Anyway will have to go back, I want to visit the navigation point but that can be done at a later date.

Made planetfall at the designated base came just waiting for the main section of the space station to arrive.

Waypoint 6

Well made it to WP6, nice run through some amazing and colourful sights. Passed by and through a number of nebula as well as a few neutron stars.

Anyways made it here, although almost came a cropper as I came out of jump closer to the neutron star than expected, and with there also being a black hole here had to pay attention.

Getting my prep done for the next stage

Well, the Fleet leaders have given us the next destination, so I have plotted that into my navigation system. Also made sure to plot my route to take in some of the sights along the way. Looking to start off within the next couple of days but I should still make it to the first waypoint by Friday.

The first stage is a long one, as is running to 60+ jumps to Phiaanor which is a Blue planetary nebula, should make for a nice view.

Polo Harbour

Well made it to Polo Harbour which has been designated at the 5th waypoint for the Distant Worlds expedition. This was by far the longest stage so far, with it being over 9k light years taking the indirect route.

Well, the sights along the way have continued to be impressive as I passed through a number of nebulas. All in all though another smooth run.

Upon turning my exploration data in managed to get first discovered for a number of systems which was good to see.

Waypoint 4

Well, I have arrived at Clooku. Have to say the trip was remarkable unimpressive, some nice skies but nothing to really write home about. Maybe I should have visited the side poi's on the route.

Anyway landed at Sheppards Shallows and the sky above made up for it, full of blues and purples.

Will be here for a few days before heading for the last point on this stage of the expedition.

On the road once more

Well left the abandoned settlement this afternoon to start my way to the Llyn Tegid Nebula, had already made the call to, like the other stages, to split this in half and stop off at Sacaqawea Space Port.

The journey here was nice and smooth with some nice sights on the way, and the sky was amazing due to the number of nebulas around here.

On the way, though it was becoming apparent we are heading closer to the core as the number of stars in the sky was increasing.

Hoping to get Shepard Shallows basecamp tomorrow.

Arrived at Conflux Delta Site

Well left Eagles Landing on the last leg of this stage, and found that for some reason this section felt a lot longer than the one before, oh well guess it just felt that way.

Anyway took a quick stop at Eudaemon Anchorage in Rohini where I stocked up on coffee as I realised I had forgotten to do that before I left home port (was very lucky to find somewhere that had it out here) Let me tell you finding a fully equipped port out there was a little bit of a surprise.

Anyway after leaving there took a quick sightseeing trip and landed on Quantum World (Flyiedgiae QN-T d3-17 Planet: AB 1 B), that was one pretty little rock with the different surface colours.

After that, it was a nice smooth run to PRU AESCS NC-M D7-192 where I made planetfall at the Conflux Delta site on A3A. Now I'm here intend to take a look at around at some of the geo sites.

On my way to Waypoint 3

Well left Omega late in the day, but I have plenty of time to get to the next waypoint so I'm not in any hurry. Just means I can take my time to look around.

Anyway decided to make my way to Pryamoe PM-X b33-6 to take in the Arkgamanon mountain range as I have heard its quite impressive. Well got there and I have to admit the range is an impressive sight as it rises a long way above the valley floor.

Well left there and made my way to the NGC 6629 Nebular, and enjoyed the flight there, and the Nebular there is very colourful.

From there made my way to Eagles Landing which sits around the Eagle Nebular. sold my exploration data before turning in and getting some rest, was happy to see I am the first to discover some places, there is always some small satisfaction knowing you are the first to somewhere.

Anyway will continue onto the Conflux Abandoned Settlements tomorrow.

Made it to Omega

Well completed the trip to where the first base camp is going to be set up (Omega Sector VE-Q b5-15) saw some great sights on the way as I completed my trip via the amazing canyons of Labirinto ( managed to get my Phantom some way down, but wasn't going to test how far I could go), then off to the black hole 'Thors eye', although I didn't get a very good view of that when viewed against the backdrop of the galactic center it was a lot more visible. Then dropped by the Lagoon and Cinnabar Moth nebulas which looked very nice, well once I had got far enough away from the main star they did anyway. Then a quick stop at the PW2010 SuperCluster which is definitely somewhere to come back to explore further into the cluster before heading to Omega. Once in Omega a quick stop at the asteroid mining base to do some minor repairs, update my ship id and sell my current exploration data it was off to 7b to find where the camp is going to be on Friday.

Started on my way to the first waypoint for Distant Worlds

Well managed to sign up for the Distant Worlds expedition, better late than never. Only started the trip 12 hours after everyone else but making good time. Pity I had left Shinrarta before I got my Ship ID (C6L-DW) but I have managed to check the roster and I am listed as 13345 in the roster. Anyway, the Starchaser is going well and everything is running smoothly. Just jumped into Smojai PG-K b22-2 and decided to take a break, will push on to the first waypoint later. Seen some great sights on the way so far as I have passed through Shapley 1, The View and Cycladia so far. Next target is to get to Labirinto before picking my next destination.
