Ok, the Bolero was a bad choice...

It was probably a year or two ago that I decided I wanted to see the furthest reaches of the galaxy. Unfortunately at the time I was stuck in a little Sidewinder, which I disaffectionately named the Scooty Puff, Jr., with a subpar long range scanner which made the prospect daunting. At the time the Thargoid threat were mere mysterious barnacles and rumors, yet I considered the threat and that it might push humanity a bit to the galactic west. The other explorers were hot to trot about going straight across Sagittarius A*. Perhaps a more diligent and methodical approach was needed.

So now that I'm in the much more capable Sacagawea and remembered to bring my favorite recording of Ravel's Bolero I have rekindled my mission. I've already discovered several promising candidates for civilization and the region is both rich in resources and teeming with life.
