Entry five

Today was a sad day. I started to transmit the Exploration Data from the last 4 Weeks to various minor factions when suddenly my ship was pulled out from supercruise and got tackled by another Commander shouting something about a Zeruk Null person before blowing my ship to pieces. Poor DBE did not stand a chance.

90% of the data I've been collecting is lost and I am somewhat demotivated to continue at all.

-Signing off.

Entry four

I started my journey home yesterday, already made about 2k LY back. It seems that my EDSM Data Uplink does not work also. Maybe I damaged the comm system more than it first seemed while landing on that High-G Moon a couple of days ago. IF I make it back into populated space I let the techs check up my ship. I expect to manage the path back in 2 days depending on how many interesting sites my scanner brings up during the various hyperspace jumps and fuel scoopings.

This mission has already been a huge personal success for me. I've learned so many interesting facts and tricks to survive in the cold and empty space .. of course it is not truly empty from a scientific point of view but.. you get the idea.

Did I mention I need a bigger ship?

Entry three

After waking up this morning I realized two things. First I would need a bigger ship to continue my ongoing mission to dive into the depths of space and second the replicator seems to be broken and I am however unable to synthesize the right components to replace the parts. Damn it!

sounds of breaking glass ... sighs Great that was my favorite mug. Time to go back. Almost 7000 LY to go.

Entry two

Today I woke up with the ship completly frozen over. I guess I underestimated the night cycles temperature on this rocky body. I sat back in my seat and admired the purple ice crystals on my windows with a nice hot cup of coffee.

Some hours later I came across a system with 2 huge Helium rich Gas Giants. I took some readings and scanned them for my science study out here in the void. I am starting to really like being out here on this science mission. When they offered me the job at the Duval Science and Research Station I was scpetical at first but now.. I regret nothing.

Powering down

Personal note. Seen a lot of stuff today and ended it with a wild SRV Race between some steam geysers. Damn good idea to install the vehicle hangar last time I docked with the ship. Found myself a nice cozy spot to land the ship during night cycle. I just can't sleep well while drifting through the black.

zZz -signing off for today

Entry one

It's been two weeks since I manned my brand new DBE and started to fly away from the relative safety of the bubble. Not sure what I was going to find out there but the crowded space just did not suit me I guess. Never saw another space ship since then, didn't miss it to be honest. Until now I discovered a large amount of beautiful planets and systems, took my time to take readings and scanned many of them. Some explorers were there before me it seems but I managed to find my own precious spots out there too.

Today I discovered a ringed terraformable water world orbiting a brown dwarf also ringed. The sight was truly amazing and I can't wait to continue my journey into the vast depths of space.
