Docked on Solus Research Center - Syntec System

[xbox acct] I have docked several of my ships aboard the Solus Research Center bound for the Abyss. This will be a six month expedition. I take with me my Anaconda, Python, Asp X and Cutter.

I will also be suiciding a sidey out on PC [same mission] I want to be back in the bubble for the odyssey content release.

My Cutter will be available as a repair/refuel rescue ship.

Imperial Cutter Aquired

After a rather lengthy and tedious grind I became a Duke and was able to purchase the Imperial Cutter, which I did. I used the Ngalinn run to level rank doing courier missions. As advertised the run should take 6 hours to reach Duke... It took me 8.5 hours non stop so beware... You will be tired when it is all said and done.

The ship now sits in my collection and I have Christened it "Puerta Del Sol" (Door Of The Sun) after the song. I plan to use it only for parading around during special events. Back to the grind.

Purchased the T9

Already making good credits.

Ship Destroyed In Bhottada

Was scavenging for Grid Resistors when I was ambushed by some whacko in a Python. Lost my Viper MK IV in the process as it had minimum defense and attack capability. This is the third time I've lost that ship.

The rebuy is low, just over 100k so I have it back and am going to add a good gun and shield boosters since this is such a magnet for crazies.

Fortunately I didn't lose too much in the process and managed to gather some good items during the return trip home.

Hiatus my bu**

I couldn't resist so I went out and did a few supply runs. Making good money from Kennan Dock in the LHS 2651 system. I may go back out and see if there are any evacuations pending etc.

So much for being on hiatus

On Hiatus

I'm currently on hiatus from the Xbox ED as I am currently out exploring via the PC! I have a ways to go but it will fun building a fleet out there again. When I do return (and I hope that will be soon) I'll have to make plans for some great adventure. Perhaps a Great Excursion part 2? But I was rather hoping to do a Great Excursion out on the PC... We'll have to wait and see.

So I'm sitting in dry dock for now, enjoying myself at the bar and catching a flick every now and again.

Thargoids spotted in Kaha'i system - Evacuations continue in GD 140

I've been continuing with assisting evacuations at the heavily damaged Newton Hub station in the GD 140 system. Things are proceeding smoothly in that area however I've also noticed many occupied escape pods drifting within the confines of the station.

These pods are not easy to recover quickly and I can only spend a very short time inside the station before I run out of heatsinks and begin to take serious damage. Let's hope some other Commanders who are more proficient at escape pod recovery can lend assistance.

I was inderdicted once again by Thargoids, this time in the Kaha'i system which is even closer to my home base of DYR Station. While this can't be good, I should also add that Alliance defense forces were actively engaging them in battles. Not having the proper weapons to take part I simply continued on to Newton Hub to partake in more rescue operations.

Evacuation/Rescue missions ongoing at Newton Hub

I've been rescuing survivors of the horrendous Thargoid attack which left Newton Hub station in system GD 140 a shambles. I loaded up on Heatsinks & reinforced my hull in order to survive the intense heat and bashing from debris floating freely within the station before setting about to evacuate these desperate survivors.

I've seen temperature increases of 167% resulting in only minimal hull & module damage.

It's not a mission for the faint of heart but I feel confident that I and the evacuees will be safe inside my well equipped Python.

I may not be the best combat pilot or even a very good one. I'd be useless against Thargoids in combat. However I can certainly do my part by running rescue and resupply missions where & when needed. And that's exactly what I'm doing.

Thargoid encounter very close to home

GD 140 System - LIWEI Terminal & Newton Hub both had come under recent Thargoid attack. I didn't stay long, just enough to do a quick scan before I began my jump to UZ Sextantis. During this jump I experienced an unstable hyperspace conduit and I was pulled out of the jump by three Thargoid ships.

Fortunately they did not attack me (I had no weapons on this ship due to it being my exploration vessel) however my ship went completely dead and I could do nothing for a short while. Eventually all power came back online and I was able to make good my escape.

Thargoids are definitely in our system and pulling humans out of hyperdrive. This was just two jumps from my home base of DYR Station... If that is destroyed will I lose all my ships that are stored there?

Strange FSD & Thrust inhibiting force outside DYR Station in LHS 331

While attempting to depart from DYR Station in the LHS 331 system I experienced a severe FSD inhibiting force. This was unlike anything I had ever experienced before, in fact, all ships within radar range were completely locked and not moving. I don't know what could have caused this great an influence over such a wide area. I was unable to maneuver using thrusters & my FSD simply would not charge.

This would not have been so significant by itself if it weren't as I mentioned before that all ships on radar became nearly frozen in space. Movement inside my ship was unaffected so this was definitely some outside force acting upon all bodies in the area.

If this is some new alien threat then I'm sure others will be experiencing it soon. If not then chalk it up as just one of those things...
