Determination" repairs are done at last. We decided to put new shiny paint and additional heat dissipation parts to start new journey with style.

To give a test drive we take a tour to all accessible asteroid docks mentioned our friend's SIX_SH00T3R checklist.

Unfortunately at least one has the permit required, So it will be not accessible for now, but our journey just begun

We visited the Old Lady Felicity Farseer in Deciat, to install some experimental effects in my Krait. After entering the system, our enemy alarms went off. We immediately went to silent running, to avoid interdictions. Well things are bad here. Especially for new pilots, as Felicity is the first engineer to start with upgrades.

Today's visit in Deciat at Farseer's facility to add final "thermal spread" to power plant.

Now the "Diggy" runs really cool while cruising.

During further laser mining tests, temperatures have stable max of 75 - 80%.

While I was leaving station, Heavy transport just exited. And the pilot had a familiar name...

I don't think his transport was here to aid in famine. Something tells me, my home station will have rare commodity to sell.

Perfect. Asteroid depleted before temperatures are too high and power runs out.

While my crew took a day off, I was checking power performance of my trusty Python "Diggy Diggy Hole". 3 medium mining lasers and 3 pips into weapons - infinite firing. But with 4 lasers... "Asteroid depleted" at the same time when temperatures are up to 95%. I think I should try weapon focused distributor.

Current build, with only Power distributor set to Weapon focused super conduits should be good enough to deplete whole asteroid before running out of power. Diggy Diggy Hole

While repairs are provided to our "Determination", we are cruising through our home and surrounding systems, mapping possible interesting mining spots, and gathering raw materials for future exploration needs.

After accident while retrieving data from GCS SARASVATI (Sheron A 1 a), "Determination" had to be repaired in docks. While waiting for repairs, we went to fill our supplies of raw materials in nearby rings, as our storage was almost empty.

Today I decided to give a test drive to improved "Determination". First stop: Antares. Me and my crew always wanted to see that star and her sister Antares B.

As we were there, we concluded additional testing covering landing in high g and planetary scanning.

After all tests passed, we headed to Sheron and decided to dock for the night there, and plan route for all point of interest we gathered so far.

Although I love to fly T-10D "The Massive", sometimes you have to change the tempo a bit and hunt pirates with something fast and manoeuvrable. I chose Aliance Chieftain, and on the advice of CMDR MadMace I armed it with small pulse long range lasers, two large double shot drag munitions frags and one medium corrosive frag cannon. This configuration shreds small ships momentarily.
