Ghost of Jupiter and VY Canis Majoris - Harmonic Convergence Shakedown Cruise

The newest ship in my fleet, the Anaconda "Harmonic Convergence," set off from Deciat 28 October, 3306, bound for the Ghost of Jupiter approximately 1200 ly away. The goal for this cruise was to validate the Harmonic Convergence's exploration systems over a short duration trip.

7A Fuel Scoop performed satisfactorily and was typically able to fully replenish the ship's fuel tank while aligning for the next jump. Supercruise maneuverability was satisfactory. Heat management presented challenges with FSD charging but was tolerable. Engineered 6A FSD and 5H FSD Booster provided 62.5 ly jump range and performed satisfactorily. Verified performance of engineered surface scanner on Earth-like world in Ghost of Jupiter Sector GW-W c1-0.

Successful 0.25 g planetary landing in Plio Eurl ZA-F b27-0. Thrusters may require improvement, shielding adequately compensates for lack of thrust.

On 29 October, the mission was terminated en route to VY Canis Majoris and diverted to the Coalsack Nebula to investigate the Adamastor crisis.

Expedition 5: Colonia - Sag A* - Altair

On 11 May 3306, Pride of Baltimore II set off from Colonia to the center of the galaxy, before turning home towards Altair. On 12 May, the crew discovered their first ever undiscovered Earth-like world: Kyloall GK-Z d790 A 5. A second undiscovered Earth-like world was found 22 May: Byoomi OP-L b13-22 A 2. On 23 May, the extremely valuable system Byoomao SK-C d14-2502 was discovered, with four water worlds, of which two are terraformable. A second high value system, with an ammonia world, water world, and many high metal content worlds, was found on 27 August at Leamuae ZR-H d11-4217 after visiting the Great Annihilator. A Class A and B trinary system was found at Leamuae XU-X e1-3199 the same day. Discovered new neutron star at Leamuae HC-B d1-8869. A third newly discovered Earth-like world was found 7 September: Nyeajee VO-X d2-156 A3. On 7 September, the vessel arrived at Attenborough's Watch for supplies before returning to the Bubble. The Pride of Baltimore II returned to Altair 11 September, 3306.

Expedition 4

Expedition 4 was the first truly long distance mission for the Pride of Baltimore II. Departing from Deciat with additional FSD modifications, the Pride set off on 16 Feb. 3306 for Colonia. The journey was planned to visit X waypoints along the way: Hillary Depot (Blu Thua AI-A c14-10 - Colonia Connection Highway), Attenborough's Watch (Lagoon Sector FW-W d1-122), Eudaemon Anchorage (Rohini - Blue Star Line), Sacaqawea Space Port (Skaudai CH-B d14-3 - Colonia Connection Highway), Caravanserai (Gandharvi - Blue Star Line), and Vihara Gate (Kashyapa - Blue Star Line). For the first time, the Pride navigated using neutron star jumps to travel more quickly. Arrived in Colonia 20 April 3306.

Expedition 3

Expedition 3 began 02 Feb, 3306. It was the first expedition for the Pride of Baltimore II to feature a Level 2 Engineered FSD, and also the first to involve a neutron star boost. The expedition first set off to visit VY Canis Majoris, which it reached in the first day, followed by the ship's first departure from the Inner Orion Spur to visit the Sanguineous Rim and Outer Orion Spur. The expedition reached a maximum distance of nearly 3,000 Ly from the ship's home base in Altair.

Expedition 2

Expedition 2 was the first major exploration trip for the Pride of Baltimore II (HTB-03). Departing Maia on 13 January 3306, the mission plotted a course to Betelgeuse before returning to Altair. The expedition exercised a new, heavily upgraded FSD that allowed the Maia-Betelgeuse route to be completed in 10 jumps. Following the visit to Betelgeuse, the Pride of Baltimore II travelled about 170 Ly below the galactic plane to continue exploring, eventually reaching 1,322 Ly from Altair. The Pride of Baltimore II then plotted a course to Sheron in the IC 4604 nebula before returning to Altair on 20 January. The following systems were first discovered:

  • Snyuefe WI-M b26-2
  • Col 173 Sector FO-N c8-17

Total exploration data value was approximately 72 million CR.

First Discoveries of Expedition 1

Expedition 1 took Columbia (HTB-02) to systems above the galactic plane, beginning from the home base at Altair. The expedition began 1 Jan. 3306 and concluded with a return to Altair 5 Jan. 3306.

Dozens of planets were first mapped. No new systems were discovered. 16T of Altairian skins delivered to far reaches of the Bubble on departure. 14T of Azure Milk and 2T of Leestian Evil Juice purchased at George Lucas and sold at Altair upon return. Total exploration data value of approx. 14.9M CR.
