Arrived at Babbage Gateway and realized that there's more to getting a pre-engineered FSD than I had thought. Decision time - try to gather the resources that the tech broker wants, or head off somewhere else? Maybe Sol? Maybe Maunder's Hope in the Tilian system?

Might head to Babbage Gateway in the Ceos system to see if I can purchase a pre-engineered FSD from the tech broker there.

After three and a half years floating in deep space, I finally set up my new cockpit and made my way to the Ring Mine station. I bought some minerals and headed back towards civilization. I'm at HIP 18390 now. Might be here for a while, while I sort some stuff out.

Decided to head to NGC 1333 Sector YZ-P b5-0 next, to keep getting out of the galactic plane.

Have arrived at the Darwin Research Facility in California Sector BV-Y c7. This is my first time docking at an asteroid base, so that's something.

Stopped in the NGC 1514 Sector NN-T b3-0 system to plot the next leg of my journey to the California Nebula.

Plotted a route to a base in the California Sector. This will be my first time seeing an asteroid base, so that's pretty cool. Heading to California Sector BV-Y c7.

Arrived at HIP 3629. Not sure if I've really "left" the plane yet, but I've decided to head towards the California Nebula. Might be cool - and if not, I can start heading South again.

I've decided to try to discover a new star system. As a first step, I'm heading to HIP 3629 to get away from the galactic plane.
