Hello... CMDR Deer Spring here.

It's been a few days since I've started my journey, so lemme catch you up to speed.

I left the Wolf 865 system after paying a visit to the engineer known as "The Blaster." He was kind enough to let me know of a few of his buddies (Selene and Petra), and i even got an invitation to Selene's workshop. Unfortunately, i ended up deciding to go and explore some more before saying hi to the blaster's friends.

I left the Wolf 865 system with the intent of visiting the Heart and Soul nebulae, and even found an earth-like world as well as a lagrange cloud on the way. A dozen or so jumps later, I noticed a constellation of blue-white stars that resembled a cross and... well... curiosity got the better of me. I struggled to find the constellation on the galactic map, but after comparing where the constellation was relative to my next destination, i figured out that it was a part of the NGC 7822 nebula.

I gotta say, approaching the nebula was a wonderful experience. Seeing the constellation grow larger after each jump felt amazing. It was just the constellation at first, but at around a dozen jumps away from the constellation, the actual nebula revealed itself.

After touring the constellation of O and B type stars, I ended up scrapping my original plan and plotted a course that straddled the inner orion arm and elysian beach sectors...

And well, here I am. I'm currently surveying the PLIO EUQ JK-P B19-0 system. It's quite wonderful seeing 2 binary systems orbit each other from the second planet orbiting the barycenter.

I unfortunately must continue with my survey work. I'm sure Universal Cartographics will have a field day looking at the data I bring back... whenever I decide to return to the bubble.

Until then, DSSI Pathfinder shall continue to survey the Elysium Beach sector.

(I wonder if my ship can synthesize some chicken strips... that would be nice)
