I'm finally ready. I've just released Alexandria from her contract... no need to drag her along for a year-long trip where no SLF pilot is required. If I encounter hostiles out there, I'll be in trouble anyway. Let's just hope there will still be a bubble left when we return, with the Thargoids and all. Peregrine is as ready as she ever will be, a decent compromise of redundancy, maneuverability and jump range. i finally decided against taking Sundiver... somehow, spending about a year in an Anaconda that moves like a brick on valium didn't appeal to me... SLF or no SLF. I took off from Eurybia where the rest of my ships is stored, and am currently heading to the Witch Head Nebula to meet up with the rest of the Dead End Circumnavigation Expedition. I'll spend the next few days doing a number of shakedown test runs near HIP 23759... and then I'm off into the void.

Investigated a degraded signal in Witch Head Sector KC-V c2-1, 1 jump away from HIP 23759. 5 occupied escape pods from a destroyed Imperial vessel. Picked them up. Let's just hope that I can drop them off at the Witch Head Science Station.

Met a few CMDRs at the meeting point after dropping off my rescuees. Landing on a planet with 1.8g can be tricky. Heading back to the asteroid base... let's not sleep in the ship as long as I can.
