(Asp Explorer)

The Norma Expanse is something else. Jumped into a new system with 53 undiscovered bodies. Two of which were high dollar water world, and one was a Brown Dwarf star with rings. Took me about 10 minutes to fly to either side of the system. After sight seeing a little more I moved on and immediately jumped to a system with 68 bodies. Scanning can wait till tomorrow.
Not much to report tonight. Plotted route to next section and took a low fly detour to check out some geological signals. Popped into a few new systems, one with a B class star.
Another Thanksgiving alone on the ship. But, this is what an explorer's life is with out a crew. After leaving the Cat's Paw Nebula, I made a quick stop at a close neutron star. I wasn't planning on getting too close since these star type could end a trip if you're not careful. Upon leaving the system I did inadvertently catch the wake of one of the tails and overloaded the Frame Shift Drive. It only increased the jump range of Zappa 1 by .14 lightyears. Good thing it wasn't completely fried. The next course is plotted to the next nebula in the Norma Expanse region 6,812.22LY.
The Cat's Paw Nebula is in sight and only a few more jumps away. Entered two systems with more than 40 bodies, all discovered unfortunately. Although, I did manage to discover a few new systems that had not been scanned before. Getting a little more confident at planetary landing and the Zappa 1 is holding up nicely.
Discovered an few new systems with with planets which were not scanned. A few out of the way, but not too far. Still a little apprehensive about landing on bodies after the crash last week. Gave it a go anyway. This time on a low gravity moon. Nothing special. Took the SRV out for a spin as well.
Stopped in the Blu Thua Region at the QX-X C28-6 System. Not before summersaulting on a high metal content world coming in too hot. Had to re-route to the nearest megaship which was ten jumps away. Repaired the hull which was at 19%, refueled and continued the journey to the Cat's Paw Nebula 2,801.74LY away.
