This red and green planetary nebula is the apparent result of a supernova occurring 276 million years ago. A black hole of 2.8 stellar masses is the remnant of that explosion. Three class Y dwarf stars and numerous small icy or rocky bodies appear to have formed from the remaining material. The nucleosynthesis during the supernova may have been the cause of odd atmospheres on rocky bodies, which include two planets of 100% methane, three of 100% helium, and one of 100% neon (source).
