This system is home to possibly the first black gas giant ever found near the galactic core. Discovered on February 7th 3305 during the Distant Worlds 2 expedition. It's discoverer has dubbed it The Palantir due to it's resemblance to the famous seeing stones found in J.R.R Tolkiens ancient writings.
With a mass of almost 2,300 earth masses and a radius of 72,000 km it dwarves some of it's Y Class star brothers it shares the system with. As an added bonus it's massive ring system has an inner radius of 143,000 km and is rich in metallic resources. A must see destination for any explorer travelling between Colonia and the galactic core.
