A disgraced ex-judge's retirement nest egg where he breeds the rare Bog Spaniel, which makes such lifelike duck calls that some interesting cross breeds are now being researched.
The home of Greater Tascheteri Republic (GTR), which seeks to bring the whole of the Tascheteri sector under the influence of the Federation through advancement of its democratic interplanetary charter. It aims to serve as a liberal buttress against the encroaching power of the Empire, given its location in the tense no-man's land of systems that makes up the border between the superpowers, and is willing to use military force to achieve these ends.
The GTR has lately called for the assistance of independent and Federally-aligned pilots to assist in expanding its influence in the region.
