Made it to another stop on the scenic route to the center of the Milky Way. This neutron star system is engulfed in a purple double nebula. Earned first footfall on a small moon and parked the Zappa at the top of a nice peak.

Pit stop at the Simmic Kyloaln Nebula. Almost forgot there was a black hole upon entry. Hit the exclusion zone and it made for an exciting arrival to the system. In the reflection of the black hole you can see the red color of the nebula as well as the trillions of stars. We are getting close to the galactic core and soon the center.

Another major check point reached. System Kyloarph DV-Y e4134 also known as the Céimnithe Nebula. Surprisingly, there were some first footfalls still to be claimed in the C subsystem. I managed to get three so far, with a few more to get later on. Its a popular system so it will be nice to get my commander name on something visible. The nebula that holds this system is a very pretty purple and the neutron star makes for an exciting entry.

17 JAN 3308

After checking out a massive black hole I made first contact with another member of the Disco Knights Squadron. After a few training maneuvers, we set down to investigate a wreckage site and discovered an escape pod. We then proceeded to drop it from orbit and watch it plummet to the surface. True, that was out of character of an explorer Commander, but we had no idea who was aboard the escape pod. We ran into more trouble and I ended up ramming a few skimmers.

Made it to Colonia. 22,000Ly from Sol. Made roughly 250M in credits selling exploration data, and got promoted to Pioneer. Only another 100M to go to make Elite rank. Next major destination is Explorer's Anchorage, the furthest station station from Sol. Soon after that stop, I'll visit Sagittarius A. The supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way. My companions @fondlemygewch is planning on accompanying me on the voyage starting from Colonia. We shall see how deep space treat him without a fleet carrier.

Late entry. A new year, the same mission. To reach Colonia, The Center of our galaxy, and Beagle Point. Currently still ahead of the carrier OTC Might Ike. They are quickly catching up, and are about half way to Colonia. Perks of taking a carrier, its jump ranges are around 500 lightyears. Compared to the Zappa 1's 34ly range, its pretty significant. I am going to make a break for Colonia and hope they stop in a few more places to explore. I did feel the need to stop in the Nuekuae AA-A H52 system and check out "The Crux". A tight binary pair of pulsars with a third pulsar also, in a tight orbit with jets point perpendicularly to the binary pair. When viewed from a particular angle it looks like a cross, hence the name "The Crux."

Not much to report, other than we made some significant upgrades to the system environment. Got to stretch the space legs for the first time and get our first footfall on some random ice moon. In other news, the Disco Knights squadron has been formed, and already has 3 members. They are currently still in the bubble, but are working on hitching a ride on a fleet carrier out to Colonia. There is a possibility the carrier will stop closer to where I am located, so we are keeping track of the itinerary.

Late Entry. While on the route to Colonia, it was decided to take more stops at scenic locations. The first along the route was the system Skaude AA-A h294. The Collection of Wonders. This incredible system contains two black holes, a ringed M-class star, a ringed white dwarf, and a ringed neutron star. The M-class star is one of the largest known stellar bodies containing a ring system. It was worth the stop. I "wonder" what else is along the route.

Deep space is a lonely place. Do I have the will power to continue the mission the Beagle Point? I believe as long as each day doesn't involve scanning systems, I'll be alright. After the run in with who ever showed up at the abandoned base, I decided to seek out a black hole. You know, to do a little sight seeing. Ended up finding one only ten jumps away. Came out of the FSD jump unprepared for how close I was. It pulled me into subspace. I had to immediately reverse and pull away from the black hole. Managed to trip a few overheat alarms, but no damage was done. Once to a safe distance, I could orbit the black hole with a low chance of threat. The views were beautiful and very inspiring. Can't wait to see the super massive black hole at the center of the galaxy. Plotting course to Colonia.

8 DEC 3307

Decided to check out an unregistered comms beacon orbiting a planet in the Pru Aescs system. On the hour it generated a coded message. After un-encrypting the message to led me to another near by planet and a derelict base. Conflux Delta site was hidden in the shadow of a tall mountain and night vision was required for landing. Upon arrival there were 4 messages left behind from the base engineer. He stated that their ship had blow a hyperdrive cooling coil and their ship was being engulfed by a near by neutron star. It was their last transmission back to base. This far out into deep space you don't run into any one. During the search of the base at least 3 cruisers entered the atmosphere and circled around the base. This was truly surprising. If they were pirates, there is no surviving an attack, since the Zappa has no weapons. Once they made a large loop, I took the SRV quickly back to the ship, and jumped to the nearest star. That could have ended badly.
