Caballeros de Sion rumbo a Beagle Point Expedition: Day 1

Today I started the expedition with my Kraken. The idea was to depart from Benapus and arrive to Omega Sector VE-Q b5-15 where we would stay at the Omega Mining station for the first waypoint of the trip. Sadly I was a bit late and I missed the departure photograph with the group, but that did not stop me. I reached Omega Station around 7 pm.

During the transit I discovered several new systems and planets, including a couple water worlds with life! I also visited several impressive points of interest.

Arrived in Lucifer's Lair planet with fellow commander Quios. The canyons there extend for hundreds of kilometers some with up to 20 km depth. I almost died there first in my buggy and second by crashing my ship against the canyon walls The Devil's Lair Canyon

Then I went to a nearby base in this beautiful ringed white gas giant to repair Asteroid Credits by cmdr Quios

It is late now. Ready to sleep in this station and tomorrow will be another day. Cmdr Boujuan, Signing off.

Initial Preparations before the expedition

Ladies and gentlemen, I want to introduce you "THE KRAKEN".

This is my new vessel. A fully upgraded long range exploration and researching platform. Designed to unveil the mysteries of the galaxy. Isn't it lovely?

Here is the official specifications sheet of this beauty: Specifications Sheet: Kraken

Orca

Tomorrow I am starting an expedition, and after a long time of production, The Kraken is ready to be launched, and it will be its first official mission.

Today I decided to test it in two extreme environments: First, the extreme gravitational attractions of the infamous Achenar III. This planet has claimed the lives of so many pilots due to its almost 7 G of gravitational acceleration. But I was confident that The Kraken would be able to handle it due to its powerful engines.

It wasn't easy, and almost bumped the ground when I accelerated towards to, but the trick is to ALWAYS KEEP THE NOSE UP, don't lower it less than negative 10 degrees, and it should be fine.

After I landed I took my SRV for a stroll. How lovely.

Second, I decided to test its brand new Low Emissions Powerplant to see how it would perform in the close proximity to a star. So I went to Skardee I, a planet that is just a couple light-seconds from its main star. Really dangerous to land there because of its extreme lead-melting temperatures of 900 C.

However, the latest technology of my ship in heat dissipation managed to do it surprisingly well. I spent some time exploring the surface of the planet, and as a bonus found an amazingly beautiful system of canyons.

That is all for today. The testing was proven sucessful, and I am read to reach infinity and beyond tomorrow with it and unveil God knows how many mysteries.
