My name is Mathias Ademar. I am 28 years of age and am the sole surviving member of the royal line of Ademar. My clan was the sovereign rulers of a small imperial planet within the Duval dominion until a plague swept through the planet, killing the nearly the entire population. I survived due to a random genetic immunity to the pathogen, but the rest of my clan was not so fortunate.

I went to stay with my godfather, Jacob "Scythe" Karoma, at Brother's Installation in the Borann system. It was from him and his job as a pirate assassin and freelancer that I acquired my desire to be a pilot and make my own way in the galaxy. I also learned from him that he was on a deep space exploration mission to the Antares system with my parents when my mother had given birth to me suddenly. To this day I seem to be drawn to Supergiant stars, even when it poses a risk to my health, due mainly to flying to close to the exclusion zone.

Such examples are almost getting caught in the gravity well of the main star in my birth system while making my first pilgrimage there. Or nearly crashing into the second planet in the Betelgeuse system as I got distracted my it's magnitude while on a return trip from Barnard's Loop. I am quite certain they will be the death of me one day, but I will still seek them out due to their beauty.
