Back in the Bubble

I took the neutron highway to help my friend with his first steps as commander.

We used comms and I was checking what he was doing with my drone camera. He had troubles with landing and other simple things and appreciated my advices and answers to his questions. He was pretty happy when he finally got a nice smooth fast landing with his Sidewinder.

I bought a Viper MK III, along with A-rated modules for combat. I want to try Bounty Hunting and I think it's a good ship to learn.

Change of plans

I took a break at Colonia. I enjoyed the views and studied metallic crystals.

I was planning to travel to Saggitarius A* next, but I got a message from my friend. He started his career as a commander and asked for help with his first steps in dangerous galaxy. I decided to go back to Bubble as fast as possible, so I'm taking a fast route on neutron highway.

Goodbye Colonia. I'll be back one day.

Great system for colonization

This is a highlight from the last log. It's an amazing system and deserve another entry so it will be easier to find.

On 23rd March 3305 I found an amazing system for colonization. Double Binary system with 3 Water Worlds and 5 Terraformable High Metal Content Worlds. I mapped the entire system - every single planet.

My first long deep space exploration trip

8th March 3305 - 24th March 3305 - Journey Log

On 8th March 3305 my first long exploration expedition began. I left my home system - LTT 4961 and took a course in random direction, with intention to turn to Colonia later.

I started the trip by enjoying some views in nearby systems. I was looking for planets with minerals that could help in case of repairs. Synthesis can save life. :)

On 10th March 3305 I made my first jump with Neutron Star. I figured it'll help get to more interesting places faster, so since this moment I started to check the map once in a while and bookmark Neutron Stars ahead of me. It saved me some time and I discovered some stars never visited by anyone.

On 11th March 3305 I found some geysers on planet surface for the first time. I decided that I want to see some more and gather some more minerals in the process. I searched for more worlds like this on my way on.

In the process, I found two planets orbiting each other really close. You could see the other planet from the surface.

On the way to Colonia I found 2 Water Giants in the same system. I didn't even know they exist. I mapped them both.

I was getting closer and closer to Colonia.

On 24th March 3305 I was already pretty close to Colonia, so I kept going.

I stopped by a Wolf-Rayet Star. Already discovered by someone else, but it's the first I saw, so that's ok :)

I also found stars orbiting another star. That was the first time I noticed this, or at least that many of them.

Colonia was just a few thousand light years away.

FOR THE MUG!

5th March 3305

I heard rumors that there's free Anaconda in Hutton Orbital. I didn't believe them, but I decided to investigate what's so special about the station. And you know what? The make the best mugs in the galaxy! Who wouldn't want the Hutton Mug? They make some fine alcohol too, so I may check it out as well. Time for a little ride.

The station is pretty far from the star you jump too, but I can manage a bit of time in Supercruise.

I filled my cargo with mugs and gin. Why? Well, while I'm here, I can take some souvenirs for other people as well. I'll let them enjoy them too. :)

Then I traveled to a faraway station, where people can't get their hands on such things. They payed me well. It's not much money, but I won't complain. I'm happy I could deliver smile to other people. They got the mugs and alcohol. I just took a sip and saved one mug for myself.

At the end of the day, I found a small blackhole near the system I sold the mugs to. It was an interesting view.

I bought Federal Dropship for mining

3rd March 3305

With the money from exploration, I bought Federal Dropship and equipped it for mining. I wanted to try it and learn how to use the tools.

It went pretty well, earned me some credits. I also got to Broker rank in trading. The thing is... I think it's not for me. Maybe one day, but I enjoy the exploration way more.

My first exploration trip

1st March 3305

I finally got the ship capable of doing proper exploration. It still misses better Fuel Scoop and some small details, but it's good enough for a short trip. I'll get a bit out of human bubble and try to climb up the galactic plane.

I visited the Sol

27th February 3305

For helping Federation with trading missions, I ranked up enough to get the permit to Sol system. I can finally visit the place where humans started. I'm really excited.
