Teal Nebula Guardian ruins

In the Teal nebula there are a number of Guardian ruins. Built by Guardians millions of years ago the ruins sites dotted around the galaxy are spooky & atmospheric, but fun to visit and quite rewarding too. On Eorl Auwsy SY-Z d13-3468 ABC 3 C there is a fairly large ruins site, shown in the photo below with the ringed planet Eorl Auwsy SY-Z d13-3468 ABC 3 in the background.

The Brain Forest

On the way back from Sagittarius A* to the Bubble I stopped by The Brain Forest.

In the ring around planet Shrogaae KK-A d983 A 1 there are Chryseum Void Hearts (organic structures, sometimes called barbed knots, which are noted for periodically emitting tremendous bursts of heat and light, as shown on the photo below) and Niveum Octahedral Pods (octahedral seed pods that are distinguished by their leathery exterior and colourful bioluminescence). By comparing with the size of the Anaconda the enormous size of the Hearts becomes apparent.

Sagittarius A*

Obviously no Elite Dangerous image gallery can be complete without a photo of the object everything revolves around, Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole in the center of the galaxy weighting more than five hundred thousand Sols. On the photo below also the tourist beacon "The Centre" can be seen.

Rubeum Bioluminescent Anemones during Stellar Eclipse

During my stay in Colonia I did a minor expedition to some organical POI as mentioned in the Codex. In Dryooe Flyou EB-O e6-3190 I landed on planet B 2, where Rubeum Bioluminescent Anemones are located, organic structures that can tolerate a wide range of temperatures, and are able to absorb energy from nearby stars.

While driving around with my SRV I observed the star Dryooe Flyou EB-O e6-3190 B to be eclipsed by the planet Dryooe Flyou EB-O e6-3190 B 1. The color changes, both of the anemones and of the landsscape, while the eclipse is waning, are quite remarkeable.

Orca

In Colonia today I decided to buy an Orca, to use for some of the local tourist missions.

Jacques Station

I now finished my first large trip out of the Bubble to Colonia, using the Colonia Connection Highway:

  • Hillary Depot - Blu Thua AI-A c14-10
  • Amundsen Terminal - Lagoon Sector NI-S b4-10
  • Omega Mining Operation - Omega Sector VE-Q b5-15
  • Eudaemon Anchorage - Rohini
  • Sacaqawea Space Port - Skaudai CH-B d14-34
  • Gagarin Gate - Gru Hypue KS-T d3-31
  • Caravanserai - Gandharvi
  • Vihara Gate - Kashyapa

Upon arrival, I took a group photo of Jaques Station, Jaques Visitor Beacon, The Colonia Expansion (under construction) and the ringed planet Colonia 4 - and of course with my Anaconda.

Exploration: Elite

I am now at Gagarin Gate in Gru Hypue KS-T d3-31, 2/3 of the way to Colonia. I sold more than 80 MCr of exploration data, which was sufficient to reach the rank of Elite explorer.

Flavum Metallic Crystals

I encountered a field of Flavum Metallic Crystals in a Proto-Lagrange Cloud (a Notable Stellar Phenomena: a light accumulation of gas fixed in place at a Lagrange point) in Flyiedge HM-Q c7-26. After scanning with the composition scanner, these crystalline structures are revealed to be created by huge numbers of primordial microorganisms.

Pyraleau AA-A h39: been there and took a photo.

Omega Mining Operation

Distant Worlds II was an ambitious five-month expedition to the far outer rim. It launched from the Pallaeni system in January 3305 and reached its final destination of Beagle Point in May 3305. The purpose of the expedition was to unravel the mysteries of the galaxy, and to construct a starport at Sagittarius A*. The beacon in the system Omega Sector VE-Q b5-15 marks the location where the bulk of materials for the Explorer’s Anchorage starport were mined. It is located inside the asteroid belt of planet Omega Sector VE-Q b5-15 7, and close to the Orbital station inside a rock a few kilometers further in the belt, which gives spectacular views.
