I summarize the experience I had between waypoint 1 and waypoints 2, 3, 4.

On 31.03.2024 was the inaugural jump of the expedition. An interesting first moment was the mass jump, in which I think 14 commanders jumped to Ross 709. You don't see something like that every day. Cmdr Purrfect captured, among other things, the moment of the jump in the clip he posted on YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNyii8dvEm8&t=2267s (the moment of the mass jump being at 35:40). After this jump, each commander went his own way.

My goal for this expedition is to explore as much as possible, so I will present some of my discoveries that I made between waypoint 1 and waypoints 2, 3 and 4.

I would start by mentioning the badges unlocked on the EDSM site.

It seems that the galaxy is a very interesting place where you can discover many wonders.

At a certain time I decided to make a return to KOI 1701 (Via Gravitatis), a very high gravity landable planet, over 45 G. This point of interest was mentioned on the Expedition 42 Discord channel by Cmdr Just Bear Li. It keeps ringing in my head that I shouldn't miss it, because I don't think I'll meet this point of interest again, so I set off towards KOI 1701. A gravity of 45 G is damn high. I approached the platform carefully. I approached the surface carefully. But the gravitational attraction it feels very strong about 600 - 800 meters from the surface of the planet. At that point you feel that you are being pulled down. I saw how I was approaching the surface and I got scared. I boosted the ship up, but it was a mistake. We touched the surface and the ship was destroyed due to rolling on the surface of the planet, rolling initiated by boost. If I kept calm, without boosting the ship, I would have landed brutally, the integrity of the ship would have been affected, but I would not have destroyed the ship. That's what happened on the second landing attempt, when I managed to land.

Needless to say, I lost all the exploration data. But, it's a risk I've taken and anyway the Galaxy is big and there's plenty of time for new explorations.

I decided to finish the whole expedition without destroying the ship. So I went back to the starting point at Expedition 42: Furbaide system.
