The end of Distant World 2

Day 109 of DW2

Today an epic journey finds it's end... I started, over 3 months ago, at Pallani, with my ship, little money and even less knowledge about deep space. On the Colonia route I learned to navigate over big distances while being in the proximity of civilized space. Later, on the way to Saggitarius A*, I saw the wounders of the inner core and helped to built Explorers Anchorage.

After A* things got rougher, less Waypoints, longer distances, and no one in proximity if you need help. But even tough my ship got burnt a few times, I had to to escape the pull of neutron stars and black holes and emergency dropped out of super cruise too often, I made it. The last days I started seeing mapped planets again and as I made my way around the permalocked regions in front of beagle point I found my self on the trail of the original Distant Worlds exploration.

And then, tonight, suddendly it was over... next system Beagle Point... One jump and I am there... I archived my target, and I don't know if it makes me happy or sad.

It may be just a jump for someone, but for me it's so much more. I started this exploration, not shure if I could make it, not shure if I had the time or the endurance It would take. That I finished nethertheless makes me feel proud.

And now? I probably will stay at BP for a little while, I've earned some rest, then I'll fly back, claim the money I earned, have fun with the new friends I made on the way and wait for the next exploration to come.

Thank you everyone who made this awesome journey possible!
