I'm glad I found a way to re-establish contact with the EDSM network. Without it, I may have been lost by now.

My name is jaegerbaeda. I am an explorer. A few weeks ago, I launched into space from CANOPUS. When I reached 25 G. CANIS MAJORIS, I ran into serious trouble when my ship got too close to its sun. It melted the electronics of both - the navigation and the communication system. So I was finally lost in space.

My only hope was to manually jump back the way I came. But that certainly wouldn't have worked. But I had hope. Then I reached SYNUEFE QY-Q C21-10. As I entered the system, my sensors picked up a strange signal. When I went to investigate, it turned out to be a shipwreck. I boarded it and tried to boot up its system. I was lucky: navigation and communication still worked. I also managed to locate the electronic parts. I removed them and mounted them in my own ship.

At first, it didn't work properly. The new components are newer versions of my old ones, so they are not fully compatible with my ship's system. And on top of that, I still couldn't contact EDSM due to connectivity issues. But I got a rough direction from the offline map. When I reached SYNUEFE UE-P C22-15, the communication system finally came back online. Now I know my exact location and can plan the shortest route to CANOPUS.
