By means of trading commodities and couriering information around the Colonia system, I have been able to purchase one of the new Caspian Explorer ships. I have set out once more to cross vast distances and explore the galaxy for new life forms and fresh sources of minerals. I have discovered that the subspace GalNet links back to this server seem to be become faulty. My journal logs are no longer reaching the portal automatically.

I have made planet fall some ~1,000LY from Colonia and have found a planetoid extremely rich in rare minerals. I shall endeavour to use this hiatus in my trek to attempt to repair the EDD relay and share the location of these bounties.

I've made it to Ogmar. What a relief.

I've just passed through the first discovered system today, after six months of only passing through virgin territory.

Alhamdulillah! I am now only 30 jumps from a system with a station and shipyard.

Having seen a message some years ago requesting help in a distant system, I decided to equip my ship for a long haul flight... I've been travelling for five years now without docking or landing. The things I've seen... strange space-borne life forms, crystalline formations floating free in space, gravity wells and radiation dense areas.

My computer stopped showing me discovered systems some months ago. I'm the first traveller to visit this sector of the galaxy.

My destination is in sight now. A few more weeks and I should be passing through populated space again.

I look forwards to being able to dock once more. My power distributor is failing, and my survival suit is damaged. But, inshallah, I'll be able to make repairs before I need to use it again.

My ship has suffered considerable damage during the journey, mainly through my own weariness: I have several times now fallen asleep as I was exiting hyperspace and approached a star far too closely.

On a few occasions I've been exploring crystalline structures at close quarters and bumped them. Let this be a warning - some crystalline structures can cut right through your shields as if they weren't there. If only I'd have had my mining equipment, I'm sure there is a use for this stuff - torpedo casings, for example.
