I made it to Dryooe Prou FF-Z d696 or what's also known as Abeona's Blessing. I spent a good while admiring the ringed green gas giant rise above the horizon of the moon I landed on. It took about an hour in total. It was quite beautiful and serine. The system is only 1000LY from Tir or just 13 jumps for my Mandalay, the Lonestar. On the way back I'll set it for economical jumps about two thirds of the way in and see what kind of exobiology I can discover but it's been pretty heavily trafficked near the Tir region so I'm not expecting a lot of 'first footfalls'.

Speaking of first footfalls, the area around Abeona's Blessing has had quite a bit of traffic as well I have noticed. A lot of exploration in the area has taken place around the region. No first footfalls for me in quite a while but, not a problem.

I didn't stay at Abeona's Blessing for too long before I headed back to Tir. I didn't make it all the way however. With the economical setting I still have about 50 jumps to go so I am camped out on an Ice world with one life form, as usual. Tomorrow I'll hit it and see how far I get. Till then..

While I'm staying in Tir for a few days, I thought I'd check out something I'd never seen before. I'm on a little trip to Dryooe Prou FF-Z d696 to check out Abeona's Blessing. For those unfamiliar with this, it's a ringed green gas giant. The system also contains an Earth-like world, a Water world, and an Ammonia world. It is only 1000LY from Tir so I figured, what the hell. It should be a nice little diversion. If there is a landable moon or planet in the system I may spend the night there or, I'll make my way back to Tir on economical jumps doing exobiology scans and trying to make some cash. So that's what I am doing right now but I stopped short of making it due to all the exobiology stops on the way including one planet with no less than 9 bio signals.. I had to find and scan them all. And that is where I am camping for the night just two hops from my target destination.

The Lonestar is performing top notch again after seeing the mechanic at Tir. All systems are nominal. Both SRVs are serviced and lubed. I even got the paint redone on the ol' girl but I think she needs a new color. I'm kickin' that idea around. I certainly have the Arx.

I have reached the Tir system. I am currently relaxing at Bolden's Enterprise. My data banks are empty. I honestly thought I would make more credits than I did but I'm not complaining. 1.4 billion is certainly respectable. Still, I was hoping to get closer to 2 which would have brought my grand total to 23 billion. Perhaps one more exobiology run is in order before I get that carrier after all. I'll have to ponder that over a couple of drinks..

The Mandalay has been repaired and the integrity brought back up to 100%. All the little dings and dents are fixed and she's ready to fly once again. Perhaps a paint job is in order next go round as well. She deserves one to be sure. Even with the minimal amount of engineering I have put into this ship, she is still one hell of an exploration platform at nearly 80LY per jump. In fact with half a tank of fuel she will do 80LY per jump, I just always keep her topped up and route her with a full tank.

About tomorrow morning, I think I'd like biscuits and gravy with three eggs and a nice cup of coffee. That sounds better than steak and eggs any day. Eggs Benedict also sounds good but I have a hankering for biscuits and gravy. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, always has been. Out in the black there isn't much time to make a proper breakfast so I enjoy good meals when I'm at stations or carriers these days. It is what it is.. OK then, that's a wrap for this log entry unless I think of something else.

The way things are looking, I expect to be in Tir tomorrow. I am starting to see systems that have been discovered here and there. I am within 250LY of Tir making no more than 5LY jumps. This log entry is a combination of today and yesterday the 29th. Between the last two days, I've made 51 economical jumps and encountered two white dwarfs and one neutron star. Those white dwarfs make the hair on my neck stand up but not like black holes do..

I am still raking in the exobiology data as well. I can't wait to see the numbers. I have a feeling their going to be big but I don't want to jinx it though.. We'll just see when I get there. I'll post it here in a subsequent log entry.

I don't land for one life form unless I'm planning to spend the night so tonight I set down on a cold world with only one life form, a Bacterium Volu. This particular strain of bacterium brings in a rather high price at Vista Genomics, and at five times the price for 'First Footfall', I got lucky with this one as I had no idea it would be this particular strain but I knew it would be bacterium.. That's about it for this log entry. A couple of hot dogs and a beer sounds good right about now, then a few videos and a good nights rest.

I deviated south a bit so as to stay off the main traveled path between Sag.A and Colonia. There is a wealth of star types through here but as I get closer to the Colonia region, some are showing up as being previously discovered. Not many , but a few. I guess that's to be expected. When I encounter three in a row, I will just blast into Tir and conclude this journey. I am looking forward to visiting Vista Genomics and sitting down to a good meal and having a stiff drink.

When all of that is done and I've had a good night of rest, I think I'll visit the Brewer representative and get some details on a fleet carrier. I may be heading to Colonia after this. There are some logistics I need to work out if I lease a fleet carrier like selling a few ships maybe and transferring a few others. And there is that new mining ship I've heard about.. I'm going to have to look into that too.

Well, time to get moving. The geysers on this planet were rather loud and I didn't sleep as well as I usually do. I hope I don't make any mistakes landing on any new worlds today due to exhaustion!

The navigation computer says I am 10 jumps from Tir at my current rate of average jump distance which is almost 79LY. When I replot my route from where I'm currently at on economical mode I get about 130 jumps to go. As I said in an earlier log entry, I am in no hurry. I may just extend this mission a bit longer as I am enjoying the sights along the way.

I finished juicing a couple life forms on another planet in this system and then hopped over to this geologically active planet to watch some geysers pop off while I eat some dinner before taking a shower and then watching some videos before going to bed.. Tomorrow I will decide if I want to extend the mission for another week or just a couple of more days or, just blast right into Tir and kick my feet up for a while.. After all, I am anxious to see the numbers.

That fleet carrier is still in the back of my mind but do I really want one? They are a drain on the wallet after all. On the other hand, what else do I have to spend my credits on anyway? I can't take them with me, right? And there is keeping the tritium topped off so I can actually move the damn thing, after all it's just me. 500LY at a time really isn't that far of a jump either. Say 1500LY per hour at, 375 tons of tritium per hour. or 500 tons of tritium per 2000LY. That's a lot of mining to be done.

I am currently resting on the only landable planet in this system on my way to Tir. It has a Herbig AE star as well as 4 other stars including a T Tauri. Even though I landed on the dark side of the planet, there is still plenty of light here. I didn't even need to use night vision or external lighting during my landing sequence. There is one other planet in this system but it is not landable. It's too bad there are no life forms to juice here.

So, tomorrow is another day and I'm not going to push it. I may even reroute for shorter jumps so I can get a bit more exobiology in before I make it into Tir. I am still well stocked and if I go an extra day or two it's no problem. There is even a blue nebula I passed that looked intriguing I'd like to check out. Maybe on the way back? I noticed it back in system KYLOARPH CX-R C5-25. It was quite beautiful.

According to the nav computer, I am only 40 jumps away from Tir now. Tonight I am resting on a little planet with only one fifth gee for gravity. There are Silicate vapor geysers popping off in the not too far distance which provides a little entertainment. The beer is cold and the food is hot. What more could you ask for?

I always find all the life forms on all the worlds I visit, but the last two had no less than eight each! That should make that little cutie at the Vista Genomics front desk smile.. The boys in the back will be busy with all the data I'm bringing in on this run, that's for sure. That is if I make it.. I made a big mistake today coming into land on my last planet. I thank my lucky stars my shield held up because I hit rather hard. I had 37% shields left and took no hull damage. I pity those explorers that go without shields.

I may make it to Tir tomorrow if I do zero exploration but I doubt that will happen, so I expect to be there in two more days unless I run into more worlds like the last two.. Running down eight life forms per world takes a lot of time and energy, and it's late and I'm exhausted!

I have left the bustle of Explorer's Anchorage and the comings and goings of commanders doing their thing, whatever that may be. I know what my thing is right now though, heading back toward Tir. Again, I am not in a hurry, I am just on a personal mission to amass credits. I can't stop thinking about obtaining a fleet carrier and using it to continue my personal mission to do deep space exploration. Ultimately If I can obtain one in Colonia, that may be just what I do when I reach Tir in a week or two.

Right now, I am relaxing on a small planet about 6700 light years from colonia. I am taking my time heading in that direction. At the pace I am going, it should take a week to reach Tir. I should have a cool billion or more to claim between Universal Cartographics and Vista Genomics. Every system I visit I am the first to discover so the payouts are great. Definitely enough to keep a carrier afloat indefinitely. I figure when I hit 28 billion in the bank, I'll pull the trigger on a carrier.

So, that's the plan for now. Maybe I'll revise the 28 billion down to 25 or lower, I don't know.. I don't even know if I have to go back to the bubble to get one yet. That would suck if I did. All those jumps to get that thing out to the center of the galaxy at 500 LY per jump would take weeks, not to mention a lot of tritium. I'll need to do some research.

I am currently docked at Explorer's Anchorage.. Now, time for a few drinks, a good meal and some female company after a quick shower and a visit to Vista Genomics. I may even pick up a new Artemis suit as mine is getting a bit worn..

I definitely have a few ARX now, I should use some.. I wanted to "buy" a ship but now I just may use a few on a paint job or suit upgrades or something.. I really haven't decided yet. I really need to take a look at the new mining ship and see what that's all about.

OK, all cleaned up and cashed out. Between Vista Genomics and Universal Cartographics, my take on that run was just shy of 3.3 billion. Not bad for a round robin exploration trip to Far 3kcp arm and back to Explorer's Anchorage. Doing that once or twice a month could easily finance a fleet carrier and then some and then even some more. I still think I'd like to put a couple billion more in the bank before I pull the trigger on a fleet carrier though.. Maybe one more exploration run, just one more run.. Famous last words, eh?
